So... I did another test session with the full costume! I'm starting to master the faux bob technique, even though my hair still won't curl properly 😅 I've also been playing around with the lighting and it's coming along nicely. The set wasn't entirely finished when I took the pictures (was still waiting for the blinds...) but I'm really happy with how it's turning out and can't wait to share the video with you! I think this is also going to be one of my favourite characters 😀The roleplay will be filmed in a few days and released in about a week here on Patreon. It will mainly be about examinations & paper sounds, and will also feature 2 guests' voice.

And I'm wondering... Do you find low & distant city sounds relaxing? 🤔In the meantime, the monthly reading will be out on Sunday.See you soon!

Gah!!! So so exciting. The photos look fantastic! Hope you’re feeling completely healthy. 🥰

I may be a minority, but I personally hate the sounds of a city - especially traffic.

Sara

I like distant city noises in some scenarios. I listen to ASMR while writing so depending on the scene, it works with the vibe. I definitely think some low cityscape sound affects would add to this RP!

KatStar13

I'm so excited for this one!

Amy

Peggy Carter vibes!!!

Rebekka

Stunning! Can’t wait for the video :)

Darren G

I'm stunned! Audrey Hepburn would be jealous!

This looks so cool! You have certainly created a beautiful aesthetic. My fiance and I play a lot of HP Lovecraft inspired games and this look reminds me so much of their investigators. Can't wait to check this out!

Marge Ramsey

The pictures are amazing! Definitely love this character already and can’t wait to see the video!!! Some distant city noises are OK but definitely not horns or traffic or beeping that’s to overload

Holly

I think some low city noises could be pleasant.

Mid Mod Meridian ASMR

Love love love. You could try some distant city sounds only in the opening to satisfy both preferences. 💚💚💚

Ewan Neff

These shots look so good! I Me and my husband listen to old detective shows on the radio (Johnny Dollar, etc.) and you’re so much more creative, I just know your new video will be brilliant!

Sophie Rose

This looks amazing Diane! The lighting is perfect!

Scott Farley

Diane, absolutely stunning! You have brought to life another time period. Everything looks great, especially you.

Love the distant city sounds of people walking. Raindrops. Distant street car sounds in city's etc. Those very soft distant city relaxing sounds are lovely.

I think soft and smooth distant city sounds could work nicely, but I'd recommend to refraining from louder and sudden sounds, such as car horns.

Not at all! I think it's 50/50 but I'm more like you, that's why I'm asking :)

Nicole

Amazing! It's giving me total Lauren Bacall vibes. I'd love the low sound of the city, i find that a pleasant white noise.

Morganna

The background sounds in the bookshop video made it work less for me, but that was mostly the talking in the background I think.

moonlightcottageASMR

You mean the ambiance video? I don't remember using background sounds in the roleplay.

Morganna

Might have been that one yes. I just remember the setting.

Morganna

And didn't check. 😅

Rebecca D

You look great! I personally don't like city sounds at all - in fact I am often using ASMR to cover it up! That said, you should be true to your artistic vision.

Amy Snyder-Heitman

You make a gorgeous Katherine Hepburn. I just love her. I like when you put in a bit of background noise, especially in the beginning of your videos.

Nai

Love the costume! I would find the city noices relaxing as it seems they would go very well with the entire set

Fran

I love these pictures! You look dramatic and mysterious and just great. About distant city sounds, they tend to make me feel uneasy, like too much business and distraction are going on, with no rest.

Julie

I like distant city noises, can't wait for the video, it sounds fantastic and I wonder who the guests are ! Also a couple of photos give me a Studio Harcourt vibe 😊 x
