Hair brushing the top of the doorframe, Brie followed his instincts into his kitchen. Again.

Ever since his body had started to mysteriously gain in size, his hunger had grown right along with him. All that extra feline had to come from somewhere, after all.

Going out eating in public, he’d be embarrassed. A head taller than his formerly-even friends, he would horf down twice the food as his companions. And then ask for seconds and leftovers! But with a changing body, the general demeanor towards him would also change. Who would tell a 6’7” hunk of a cat no? “A growing 6’7” hunk”, Brie thought smirking. He was fully expecting (or hoping) to get even taller, as if he hadn’t gained almost a full foot in height in under 2 months, and added 55 pounds of muscle mass by chilling on his couch. A growl in the stomach insisted on him to start refueling, to do less thinking!

Brie rummaged through his mostly empty cupboards, most of the contents eaten already. Rice, flour, olive oil… “Yolo’s”? His stomach growled in accordance. He had bought those almost two months ago, just when he started getting bigger… Could it be-..?

A large paw ripped the cardboard open in a heartbeat, primal instincts controlling Brie’s acting. If anyone would’ve been present, they’d be intimidated. This tower of strength ripping things apart? Devouring the recalled cereal flakes? Scary.

Six minutes later, the box was completely empty, along with a carton of milk, and two protein bars. The large jaguar hybrid's mood was satiated for the next 90 minutes or so, until the hunger pangs would return. So much has changed in the last few weeks. It didn’t even really occur to him how easily he reached the top cupboard. How far he’d bend down to reach the cramped stove top. How easily he’d open tightly shut jars. His friends were on the same eye level with his pectoral muscles, and the cat loved that! (The fact alone that he had any visible pecs was already making him proud!)

Looking down onto everyone, even if it means sticking out like a sore thumb in any crowd…

He passed a larger buck last week. The deer must’ve stood at around 6’8”, a pinch taller than this feline. He was jealous! But he knew he would be looking down on said man in just a few days…

This whole growth did come with perks, even if he was sometimes too shy to admit it. But here, alone, the sun setting; it felt good. Being big. “I hope this never stops.” He murmured to himself.

Brie left the kitchen, the top of his head pressing against the doorframe.
