Would love that. I don't remember what episode it was on but it was a while ago Liz mentioned cyberfeminism cand I fell into a wikihole. It started in the 1970ś and was basically a bunch of second wavers postulating a future where women no longer had to get pregnant because you can just incubate babies as a necessary step for female liberation. It's really fascinating how it also crosses over to current tech-bro garbage. I really like Women As Lovers by Elfriede Jellinek because it's a novella that you can easily read as some mens-rights shit. It's about a women in some eastern Euro country living outside of the city in a dump, and she just needs a man so she can move to the city and work as a seamstress which is her dream. But all the men in the village are woodcutters or similar dumb guy jobs, who drink themselves into poverty and to death after hours, and she just tries to find a guy who can get her out of here. It's a feminist story, but I've recommended it to friends who bought into MRA stuff as a mouse trap 'this is about a women who just wants a man to use him'. And how cyberfeminists talked about artificial conception and, you know, Musk, it feels the same. Also Shulamith Firestone is a badass name. RIP.

She brings up the pizzagate shooter (for about 2 minutes, about 8 minutes in to a almost 3 hour video essay) as an example of how conspiracy theories can just seem like funny or wild online stories to every day people, but to some, it can radicalize them into taking serious actions in the name of doing “self investigations” and “just asking questions”. It’s an example of how conspiracy theories can function as propaganda when it grows from niche online post to being platformed by the biggest podcasters or political figures. She’s not even really giving a direct opinion about the validity of the pizzagate conspiracy theory, so I’m not sure how’s she’s dismissing it. Rather, She’s commenting on the way that people susceptible to believing in conspiracy theories will brush off truth and fact because of something they saw online with little to no proof.
