Big fan of the vertical slop specifically the gay themed storylines, as prior to Heated Rivalry the really wasn’t/isn’t a lot out there. The instead of the pedophilic angle, they typically feature one (or in at least one case, both!) of the romantic leads starting out as straight, and slowly getting drawn into a romantic situation with a (usually) well meaning sincere gay guy. Recently saw an ad for a new vertical with both leads from different verticals, so ya the actors seem to have a nice career out of it too.

I was talking about the newborn patient community. In Portland 8 years ago (not sure if it’s going on now) there was a racket. (My theory.) there a much-ballyhooed lactation consultant who would find tongue ties in almost all babies she worked with. (This is anecdotal based on me talking to other moms.) I went to her because I was distraught at breastfeeding going poorly. She found a tongue tie in my daughter, and referred me to a particular surgeon who specializes in these laser tongue surgeries. Went to him, sure enough, he confirmed a tongue tie there. $2000 out-of-pocket as insurance does not cover. The staff made me and my Wife go to the waiting room not be there for the procedure. I was later told that it was because the babies would scream so loud in pain. Breast-feeding really did not improve with the procedure. Formula is an awesome invention. I now have a wonderful eight-year-old. But I would strongly caution against this baby tongue tie surgery.

Here’s a super late tip. Me and all my buddies live in a small town in the south but knew about the whole bill cosby scandal well before it was common knowledge. Idk if someone already said this but the Columbia requiring Quran purchase has been brought up twice and I have to say that is actually a 100% true fact. I went there (unfortunately) and they have a super rigid core curriculum which does require all freshman to buy and read the Quran, along with the Bible and many other “canon” texts for a class that every student regardless of major has to take (within Columbia College at least). I've greatly enjoyed Aaron's work and his other appearances on this podcast, but man... I can't pretend that the way he rode SO hard for RFK Jr, and for way longer and later than might've been defensible (if ever), didn't change my perspective on him a bit. After reading your comment, I even went and found his podcast's first episode following his departure from RFK Jr's superpac (lol), and he, at first, lists some of the reasons he liked him as a candidate, before then discussing his decision to leave. But anyway, among the reasons he cites for RFK Jr as a good candidate include "medical freedom" and his desire to ban bioweapons research globally -- which is cool, sure, but as Aaron goes on to put it: "a ban on the kinds-of research that seem to have given rise to covid," which.... huh??? He also says he wishes Jr had supported a two-state solution based on the 1967 lines. Granted, he goes on to say he understands that wouldn't really be justice, as the '48 nakba can't be justified in any way, so maybe he was just hoping for any sliver of a sign from Jr that he might try to change anything there. But still... I think we're well past the point of two-state solutions being possible, defensible, or even wise after the last 2.5 years, don't see how it wouldn't lead to further horrors down the road.
