Maya B

This is so fun to listen to post-Jan 6, the Pence stuff and the Storm omg

Swimaroo

One of my favorite episodes to listen to while I sit on a sunny stoop.

cmanenarwhale

10Q, sounds a lot like thank you.

Last Years Man

Liz's idea of adding letters really needs to be expanded upon.

wavylady

Liz predicting incel riddler and Brace predicting DOGE in this episode DAMN

Aidan

was wondering if you were gonna do an episode together! very cool :)

Aidan

just wondering, I THINK you guys mentioned this on a previous episode, but in case I'm making it up, do you guys have any plans to discuss Eyes Wide Shut or the Shining and how Stanley Kubrick sort of ties into things?

vini damazio

Yes, it was one of the several times they mentioned a "special episode was coming up" haha. I would love an episode discussing Larry Celona, NY Post and Eyes Wide Shut.

Torgeir Tannenwald

small correction: animals do in fact usually eat the faces first. it's soft and nutritious and readily available. I once lived next to a dead donkey, and the dogs woke me up the next morning with blood red smiles, looking like the Joker, both of them. I chased them out of the house, and went out to look at the donkey. Its face was missing. Just red flesh and bone with flies swarming around it.

LANCE UPPERCUT

Your guest is referring to operation/project mockingbird. CIA program that controls and spins media. Claimed to have ended but c'mon we all know they don't stop that shit

big microbe

Here and i thought you were gonna have someone from the band Q and Not U on the show

Comedy News

I can't tell if they even knew they were making that reference or not??

ps

This was a neat guest. I'm glad y'all didn't go too hard on him and got him to cover a whole lot. Really interesting

kctoo

Holy shit the math joke at the end killed me. Literally died!

kctoo

Yeah when you die alone, your pets also start eating your face first. Thanks for coming to my ted talk

kctoo

You should do their show too. The 'radio play' format really fits with your sense of humor

Aidan

this might be a stretch but I wonder if somehow Salo/Pasolini ties into all of this too. The subject matter of the movie is familiar for sure, and the circumstances around Pasolini's murder are super fishy. Not to mention like Kubrick he died between the movie being finished and being released. But I dunno, maybe I'm too Epstein-brained and I'm just making stuff up. Regardless, I think it's undeniable that Kubrick knew what was going on.

Brad Snow

Blows my mind q posted on like the only open web site that allowed child porn and hundreds of thousands of boomers thought he was gonna arrest every pedo ever as they decrypted his post amidst a sea of child abuse.

There's Nothing Weird About It

Brace tried but couldn't really get Jake to go along with the 'Q is a disinfo op used to poison the well' angle. Shame.

Mike Bilbe-Taylor

I appreciate the linking made to broader Millenarian currents. Anyone interested the history of Millenarianism should read Norman Cohn's 'The Pursuit of the Millennium'.

Brendan K

Dude! How's it going? I never expected to see anyone I knew IRL posting in the comments of this podcast. Lol. Nice to see you here.

There's Nothing Weird About It

Haha no kidding, I have maybe one other irl friend I know who follows this pod. Been crazy, just got laid off one job for unionizing while my other job is right about to go public, but otherwise good down here. How you been?

Brendan K

Damn. Are they givin you stock? Where are you living these days? I got lucky with an easy 30 hour/week job with alright healthcare in Portland. Also selling some carnivorous plants on the side which is surprisingly lucrative. Making any Music? Hopefully I'll have some new music out soon..

There's Nothing Weird About It

Haha nahh, that sounds great though man! Thankfully I'm still working AV tech at MOCA which is good but I'm living in LA, still doing music, some solo stuff and with an improv noise/jazz group. I look forward to hearing some of your new tunes duder

crank

Oh my god 10Q made me laugh harder than almost anything on this show holy shit.

Bryan Cox

My quick version of what QAnon is is: Pizzagate + what if Louise Mensch but pro-Trump.

Bryan Cox

I 100% believe who ever was doing the Q posts was consciously drawing on Louise Mensch.

Clifford Symons

Did anyone else notice how quick Liz(ard) was to dismiss the Reptilian theory and move the subject along?

Ethan Hunt

Salo is based on the 120 Days of Sodom, a very disturbing novel by the Marquis de Sade about four members of the bourgeoisie (a president, a bishop, a duke, and a banker) who kidnap a bunch of kids and force them to participate in a series of increasingly heinous sex acts. Since Sade was himself an aristocrat and sex criminal, for a long time the main interpretation of this work was that it was a collection of Sade's perverted fantasies. However, after WW2, some critics reevaluated the work as an accurate description but not endorsement of the way the bourgeoisie brutally exploits the proletariat. This reevaluation occurred because in looking at fascism, people saw the same perversion that Sade described. This is consistent with Sade's radical leftist politics after his imprisonment. Pasolini understood this aspect of Sade and made Salo, as you describe, to rip the mask off of fascism and the bourgeoisie.

Ben H

Holy shit Liz kinda predicted the gritty Riddler character from The Batman (2022)
