We welcome twitter.com/housetrotter back to review the timeline of events on September 11th 2001, Liz gets accused of being a ‘no-planer’ and we try to answer one of the most pressing questions: just where was Dick Cheney

Sebastian Lomaglio

that's just fraternity culture. the personal bond that secret activities and breaking taboos gives them translates into their political work

Katherine Moss

I wonder what all the doubters in the comments think now. Watching the manufacturing of the truth as it’s happening. All the constant lying. So much bullshit. The facts just totally changing. How people in high positions can’t deviate from the narrative. I really hope they can see it now. I guess if you can’t see it now, then you never will.

Katie Potter Doula

I’m so glad you mentioned the passports. That is the moment that day that really made me question everything. That and WTC7 collapsing. I just thought none of it made any sense after that.

Maxwell Simon

Just wanna say these were not steel framed skyscrapers

Maxwell Simon

With any additional research you’ll know that these buildings we innovative in using a solid steel core and the floors with floors cantilevered off. The external structure was bundles aluminum beams which has a far lower melting point than steel. Not gonna listen cause starts sounding like confirmation bias at this point. Also talk about a conspiracy - who delivered all those explosives who just thought they were just “carrying out administrative ordered” Jesus

Norbur

Agreed, the longer I listen the less I agree

Norbur

Bush did 9/11, but just over two generations of exploiting and degrading a population of humans who exacted revenge

Bryson Martinez

Just listened to this again and Liz sounds crazy

Lars

Some people don't have a whole lot of time for reading. I commute 4 hours and pods/audilbooks are a liversafer. I listen to a ton of both. But yeah, OP should not call it reading lol

Sneakaboard

I listen to audiobooks at least as much as I read.

Richard Nixon

I'm a structural engineer. I don't work on steel buildings but I learned a lot about them in college. For the record, jet fuel can melt steel beams, but not fire insulated steel beams. All the steel floor beams were covered in asbestos insulation which NIST assumes in there explantion was completly dislogded from the the floors at the area of impact of the planes. I think thats a resonable assumption, but I'm not sold on their explantion for the two towers. Their explantion for how building 7 fell down makes absolutley no sense. The university of Alaska at fairbanks did a pretty good study refuting it. Jet fuel can't melt concrete (https://911crashtest.org/963/) I don't endorse everything in this article but it has the pictures of firearms incased in concrete recovered from the debris. Adding something about pancaking, the exterior columns and the interior core of the building are designed to tale the loads from above the floor bemas that span between the two are only designed to support the weight of the floor, all the people and office materials. The floors themselves can pancake and collapse but that wouldn't necessarily bring down the center core of the building.

MRSAful Fate

I'll be honest: when the guest guy said that Rumsfeld's morning on 9/11 was a regular fuckin day, I pictured him boppin down the freeway on the way to the Pentagon, talk radio cranked, eating a breakfast burrito with his tie tossed over his shoulder and shifting gears in between bites.

Lola Lalia

Patriot Act was ready to go so quickly because it was Biden who wrote the original version for the 1995 Counterterrorism Omnibus Bill but rejected by the Clinton administration. Biden bragged about this at least four times publicly and is the key reason why he was chosen for Obama’s VP. He was installed to maintain a continuation of these plans.

NugGarou

Who’s else is back for a relisten in 2026?

ryan

Is young Chomsky single?

Creeping Jeff

Amber Frost wants to go on TrueAnon can we make it happen? Edit: Phil my emotional nuts plz

Jamie

This episode is truly fucking me up

Himbo Slice

A lot of people on r/chapo are not fans, but you'd have to be way too invested to actually have that level of emotional response to podcast hosts

BG

Thank you, Lt. Colonel Brace and Treasury Secretary Liz.

Izak Kennedy

What do you guys think of Daniel Hopsicker, crank or legit? His shit on the Florida flight schools is real interesting

Doug Cartel

Fun fact, the term for all the flammable material in a given area is called the "fire load".

Natalie

As much as reality hurts and bums me out, I'd rather be this way. pffthahaha. I feel sorry for my fellow Americans that have been successfully indoctrinated by our dusty-ass government, I really do 😂

Andrew Llewellyn

A lot of what this guy says is just totally wrong and debunked. The towers did not fall at free fall speed at any point. And the fires didn't cause the collapse themselves, the floors were sagging from the damage and this buckled the perimeter columns inward, at that point total collapse was inevitable because it meant that the whole interior structure of the buildings were basically sheared off from the outer walls. That's why you can see parts of the outer walls still standing after the buildings collapsed.

vini damazio

Didn't thought this guest would be back for another episode. Dude liked a bunch of tweets saying TrueAnon lost all their credibility and shit after Liz appeared at Glenn Greenwald's new interview program.

L

I’m so fully a pentagon no planer..

L

Say what you will but this is all in zeitgeist the movie

some guy

I don't buy the controlled demolition shit. Like would the attack have been significantly less effective if the buildings didn't collapse? What's the motive for going through all this extra trouble?

Phil Wynter

I know y’all don’t read these 😂 but your intro was some of the deepest things said in a podcast. sure it was funny but on point. good looks 👍🏿

Causman

Can we get a link of flight 77 visualization? Cant find any

Kameron Damaska

"The towers did not fall at free fall speed at any point. " Can you cite the report claiming all of this in regards to WTC-7? It sounds like you're confusing the explanation for the twin towers with WTC-7.

Simia Canis

Most of the fuel immediately burned outside the towers, on impact. It wasn't fueling the fire from inside. You can also hear explosions and people commenting on them in live news footage.

Michael S. Judge

I think the idea of "a continuation, not an interruption" is absolutely key. These childkillers spent the entire 20th century learning their craft, engineering coups and assassinations (the Kennedys' included), and embedding themselves throughout government, and 9/11 was the instantiation of their de facto practices as the de jure law of the world. It was a coup, and it worked.

Simia Canis

Psychological impact and destruction of evidence.

Simia Canis

It seems more absurd to suggest that two buildings suffering asymmetrical damage would collapse the same way, and that neither of them fell toward the damaged/weakened side.

Eamon

Been waiting for this. Obviously not a live show but ARE YOU STILL DOING A RADIO WAR NERD JOINT POD episode?

Bud Light

The use of the “free fall” here is misleading. There is a large amount of POTENTIAL energy in the weight of the upper floors and obviously severe deformation to several floors. The level of heat can certainly lower yielding points of the steel in question, it does not need to melt it. This is kind of standard material for undergraduate engineering. It’s all true, Bush did it, shoot downs, etc., fine with me. Don’t need the armchair building physics stuff though.

Simia Canis

I didn't really question the official narrative until I learned more about US foreign policy in the Middle East, and after our brutal response. Even if 9/11 happened just like the neo-cons claimed, the US used it as a cheap excuse for the same kind of imperialism it had been carrying out since about 1947.

Here's a good post w/ visualizations (link split) isgp-studies com/911-pentagon-flight-77-impact-hole-size-calculated

disk0

Note: author (and I) hold far more conservative views on pentagon impact

Jimothy Realname

lmao, you think there was something there for a plane to hit? The "twin towers" never existed. They just digitally added them into every m,ovie involving new york

Zachary White

Anyone know the name or artist for that 9/11 song?

Himbo Slice

Pancaking is the equivalent of Kennedy being shot by someone in front of him

A. Manzanita

lol I grew up and went to K thru 8 with the oldest son of that flight 93 "let's roll" guy

Varjon

ehh i dont buy any of the controlled demolition shit, however i think the REAL conspiracy here is that saudi arabia was culpable, everyone knew it, and not only did the US protect them from consequences, but actually greatly enriched them. it's why there was a bipartisan bill passed to protect saudi from being sued for doing 9/11, because they did it.

Vincent Utah

I was originally skeptical about conspiracies around 9/11, but the passport and black box thing was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Jesus fucking Christ.

Kurt H

Yep, "back and to the left" and controlled demolition theory both stem from people not actually understanding physics

Himbo Slice

Redactions and omissions of key reports don't help

some guy

But... the towers did suffer asymmetrical damage? The planes crashed into them in any scenario.

Patrick

Nice shout-out to Robbie

Felicia

Y’all didn’t talk about my favorite theory which is ENERGY WEAPONS

Patrick

Frickin' Lazer Beams!

Jacob Ford

I'm keeping my third eye open and my preconceptions narrowed, but I am really having a tough time with this series. I can't tell the jokes about who "did it" from the actual facts/theories being presented. Calling out how shocked/disorganized peoples' responses were while also accusing the same of sinister careful planning. What's the actual argument? I'm genuinely curious, but confused. If you would consider a primer/summary that's more a 9/11 101 than a list of everyone's favorite incongruous facts, that'd be helpful. If that's not the TA thing, whatever. No prob. Or maybe I just need a YC song about it.

Jacob Ford

Thanks Joe! I did want to check that out. I also plan to read Crossing The Rubicon, which was mentioned I believe back in Part 1. Sadly I can’t track down an audiobook of it (my much-preferred reading method), but I’ll find a way.

Chaz Cancleford

This is the best episode you’ve ever done please have housetrotter on at least once a week

Matt G

God thank you, this part was extremely frustrating

Samuel Henson

Do you need to commit sex crimes to children to access a certain level of wealth?

stuckforever

Just want to say how psychically freeing this series, and honestly this entire podcast has been for me.

AJ Johnson Reyes

Anyone else listening to Blowback (podcast about the Iraq war)? Phenomenal pairing with the TA Bush Did 9/11 series.

David Greve

Lol I've also been doing that and have been thinking the same thing.

Brando

My favorite part is how much this guy sounds like Snowden

john

only thing you guys missed out on was the dancing israelis

Ian

Was really with you guys until this episode. There are so many holes in the way you are talking about building collapse. I have a degree in architecture. Other building fires are not at all comparable. Fire suppression systems have never gone totally out in a steel building. Steel melts much easier than anyone thinks, heavy timber performs better in fires than steel.

Ian

Yup. Everyone thinks steel is so strong when it's really super weak when it gets hot. Heavy timber is better than steel in a fire... the controled demolition stuff is garbage. Once you lose your fireproofing and fire suppression system you have the weight of every floor above the impact ready to crush everything. I'm an architect and I think it's a miracle more buildings dont crumble in a fire. Working sprinklers are key, that's what worked in Philadelphia

Johan

that is the exact way the state reacted to covid too. And imagine if the US citizens suddenly could relate to every country that the US was doing terrorism in because they had now also been on the receiving end of that exact same type of foreign state “diplomacy”? The result would be an immediate popular demand for the dismantling of the empire. Therefore new narratives and, distracting conspiracies, had to be made.

Johan

well a large amount of the suspicious activity is almost certainly also part of the active masking and misinformation the Empire has gotten so good at doing sporadically and organically constantly at all times.

Johan

well the US greatly benefits from most things that happen to it because of their incredible skill at over time creating narratives and controlled counter narratives that distract from the actual economic and political nature of the empire.

Scort

There was a website they used for research on these eps that I'm trying to find. It had the word history in it. Anyone remember what it was?

Saraaa

click the 9/11 timeline link. its historycommons.org but it regularly goes down. as im typing this its down

James Keegan

crazy that you got David Foster Wallace on

Titivilis

I just don't understand how anyone could fail to remember the title of the seminal text on goat ownership: My Pet Goat.

James O'Queef

I’m really not following. So the outer structure was shook loose from the inner structure, resulting in the inevitable collapse of both all the way down to basically the ground floor? No scientist, but seems rather dubious. And taking into account the 8:30 am explosion in the basement, the elevator work/power outage/empty inaccessible floors in the weeks prior. Not to mention building 7 and Silverstein’s massive insurance windfall (way bigger than if they hadn’t collapsed). I’m 100% controlled demolition. My money is on the employees at Urban Moving Systems rigging the explosives.

James O'Queef

Also, even according to NIST the buildings fell in about 10-12 seconds. Maybe not technically free fall, but about as close as you can get.

James O'Queef

Saudi Arabia would have little to gain and everything to lose by orchestrating an attack inside the United States without the support of very powerful factions inside the country. They’d also completely botch it if you consider every military and intelligence operation they’ve ever attempted to execute on their own.

Pat

I can't believe you didn't talk about indira singhd and ptech😭😭😭😭 that's directly right up your ally 1000%, please respond lol. This has to be addressed in another 9/11 episode. If it already is than nvm, I've been binge watching and trying to catch up with the many episodes I haven't seen and am going through as quickly as I can

Pat

One of the big propaganda operations when the truther movement happened was that the truther movement had the argument "jet fuel can't melt steel beams" the opposition to this was people saying it can WEAKEN the steel. The problem is that there is video footage of molten steel pouring out of the building for quite a while before the collapse, and many firefighters testified in interview that the heat from the rubble was so hot they could barely remove beams and that there was molten steel pouring off the I beams like a foundry. Please cite ANY source that heavy timber performs better than structural steel. Lmao what? Ok spook. You should talk to the architects and engineers for 9/11 truth, you have literally thousands of architects who disagree with you although I wish you could tell me more.

Simon

morons in this comment section who somehow think there weren't documented explosions in the towers not accounted for by airliners crashing into their upper floors

Ethan Hunt

Kurt H's comment is incorrect. When David Lifton showed the famous physicist Richard Feynman the Zapruder film of the Kennedy assassination, Feynman simply looked at the frames immediately before and after JFK was shot, to check the "back and to the left" theory, and found it to check out. Source: http://jfk.hood.edu/Collection/Weisberg%20Subject%20Index%20Files/Z%20Disk/Zapruder%20Abraham/Item%20025.pdf and https://assassinationscience.com/johncostella/jfk/intro/wound.html This is not to say that physicists can't disagree. Another well-known physicist, Luis Alvarez, noted the possibility of a "jet effect", where the jet of blood from Kennedy's head could cause a recoil and explain the footage. Alvarez demonstrated this with a watermelon. However, as Wikipedia puts it, "Alvarez attempted to demonstrate both in theory and experiment that the backward snap of the President's head was consistent with his being shot from behind, but his work on the so-called "jet-effect" has been discredited, due to his demonstrably poor methodology - see Last Second in Dallas by Josiah Thompson." Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luis_Walter_Alvarez#Scientific_detective The crucial problem with Alvarez's explanation is that the bullet shears through a watermelon so easily that the jet of liquid gushing out of the watermelon is powerful enough to change the direction of the net force. This is not so for a human skull, as mechanical engineer Tony Szamboti points out at: http://jfklancer.com/pdf/Jet_Effect_Rebuttal_II_(4-17-2012).pdf

Playdoh

There was a ton of aluminum - which has a much lower melting point - present in the building, and obviously the entire fuselage of the aircraft. So what are we suggesting made the fire so much hotter? Explosives don't create such hot fires (because they burn REALLY fast) and thermite doesn't work as a fuel source like that either unless there was an absolutely astounding amount that was both present and managed to be ignited (which takes extremely high ignition temps).

Jaron Lenz

I doubt you’ll see this but couldn’t MKUltra explain the one shitty pilots ability to suddenly fly perfectly, like in a Cessna you couldn’t have a handler activating you via phrase but in close quarters like a cockpit you could theoretically?

Sick dude

''The approximate temperature of a hot metal is given by its color, quite independent of the composition of the metal. (A notable exception is aluminum, which due to low emissivity and high reflectivity appears silvery-gray in daylight conditions, at all temperatures whether in solid or liquid forms. Aluminum does incandesce like other metals, but faintly, so that in broad daylight conditions in air'' We note that aluminum has many free electrons, so it reflects ambient light very well – and it appears silvery. Aluminum at about 1000 C will emit yellow light (incandescence) the same as iron, but in daylight (as on the morning of 9/11/2001), the molten aluminum would appear silvery due to high reflectivity combined with low emissivity'' Source https://www.physicsforums.com/threads/aluminium-molten-at-1000-degrees.244669/
