The Gang Goes on Birthright *it's always sunny theme plays*

Brace - “I’m not a movie guy” keeps talking about and dropping references to like 10 movies, both mainstream and underground, every episode

Ryan Fox

Noah Coolwin

KYZ

I beg you lot talk to a fucking Palestinian instead of an ex settler (as nice as Noah might be now)

JV

Recommend people check out the Gaza Mutual Aid Fund on patreon & Instagram if you're interested in ways you can help Palestinians on the ground in Gaza. You can sub for a small amount each month on patreon just like you would to a podcast and 100% of that money goes straight to helping Palestinians with things like food, medical costs and rebuilding their homes. Makes it super easy to help out

Hunter

Haven’t listened to the ep yet but I just read the Netanyahu transcript in the show description and I swear to god it’s like someone told one of these AI chat things to write an antisemitic story of a night out between a bunch of Israeli failsons, they literally go to ROTHSCHILD Blvd and argue about money the whole time.

Jeremy hatrington

“I’m not a movie guy, but one crossover I’d really like to see? Costs-Gavras meets Max Brooks - maybe call it State of Ziege? Zombies stop a leftist coup in an unnamed South American country. I don’t know I’m not really into movies”

KYZ

No I am Palestinian and I'm sick and tired of hearing analysis from ex zionists. But of course that might be too woke for a cracker like you

KYZ

Sorry I'm too woke for that whitey

KYZ

Not white enough to go on a birthright trip tho right? Or can a cracker like you get me a pass?

KYZ

Yes palestinians can be white, brown, black or anything in between. Is that a problem for you, does it get confusing?

NYCM&AHole

Subterranean power network? You mean deep state?

KYZ

loooooooool habibi inta wahad ghabi 3anjad. Please bet money I'll let you do whatever blood science you need to be sure

Graham Hoese

I agree with KYZ but I think you can also feel that the intentions and message of this episode are good while also desiring for Palestinian voices to be amplified instead, on this topic where they regularly are not.

KYZ

Good intentions are very much appreciated but simply not enough these days. I have respect for pro-palestinians but at some point we have to be included in the dialogue and it's a mistake westerners have made all my lifetime

Marcus

Noah always brings the 🔥🔥🔥

Jack Caldwell

idk i’ve been listening to the rewatchables and i like the bill simmons movie commentary thing

AndyFartin

Brace deserves a spot on the Oscar Committee

SF

Listen to something else then. No one is forcing you to listen to this.

Jaime Christley

My guy has the right to listen and voice his opinion. Idk why everyone is so butthurt KYZ is voicing his concern. Chill.

You get a chance to visit any settlements?

ploob

Yeah dude just try to suppress any knowledge or feelings you have about the genocidal nature of the Israeli state, GEEZ

TrueAnonPod

Respect to the weird naked hippy lady patreon bots for hitting the comments on this episode

TrueAnonPod

Wrong guy I said that John wick should get Michael Clayton to be his lawyer

Ryan Ford

seconded on Blowback. Noah is great.

Slik Smoothie

The lack of a lagos show proves your western bias

Graham Hoese

"If you don't like it, leave" is a reactionary-ass attitude and not an intelligent take.

Robert Armstrong

I’m gonna make it through this year if it kills me.

AfroCommie

come London you lovely yanks

Wiley Michelle B

Such a great episode guys! Can't go wrong with Noah - Blowback is such a phenomenal series.

Corey Reynolds

Has anyone else been getting lots of new tourism ads for Israel online? Specifically YouTube. I can guess why they’d need to convince people to visit there but it seemed very sudden and recent…🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

ggmacd

If Israel and South Korea went to war, it would be filmed as a netflix reality show called ARMY CLASH, and the premise would be to settle the only thing the two countries disagree on: whether women should do compulsory military service. Turning forever-war into a blockbuster cultural product is prob the only way to save either of those economies at this point, as I'm pretty the most common profession in both countries is 'ex-military youtuber'

SF

are those music stings references to hatikvah/ikh heyb oyf mayn hand un ikh shver? are we going to get a yung chomsky klezmer album?

Jacob

Happy Pesach!

Sam Krider

Great ep love noah one of the best guests yallve had on

Seth Aronovich

Now I may be a simple country boy, but I wonder, if Tony Blair had stood up in Congress and made a speech attacking Bush as Netanyahu attacked Obungler, would he have received applause? Would the US government have continued full military cooperation with the UK? It seems to me that the boot is on the other foot, that the relationship goes the other way.

Shiv

i’ve been noting this more and more 👁️

Brando

Noah ‘Clam Sandwich’ Kulwin

Scott Harding

The more expensive energy becomes, the more governments will collapse or go fascist.

Reilly Pehling

just make Noah third mic already he always cooks

Doug Cartel

I've never seen John Wink, but I've heard that John Wig 2 is the best one

Pearl

lol doug cartel

James

A dramatic example of AI sentience...

Tan Tan

is that a pic of brendan fraser???

Kyle Petty

🤣🤣🤣 The one moment at an hour and 10 minutes where Noah tries to make a joke about the mask, So funny. I feel like with how serious Brendan makes Blowback then Noah was thinking, "This is my one chance where I can actually make a pun, without getting yelled at." Then he immediately reverted, ashamed and apologizes for it 🤣🤣

Darius

Noah and most of the commenters here are willfully ignorant. It isn’t “Israel and their American cousins.” It’s Israel and the Zionists running America.

Jaime Christley

that doesn't sound like organized crime at all

Regina

noah kulwin is the best guest more episodes with noah pls 😇

nadia

noah’s israeli accent is so uncanny

Ian H

Your point that Israel has served as a plausibly deniable outpost of U.S. imperial violence is true for sure, but I think the Israelis mostly just kill people with like, bombs and drones. And Israeli snipers mostly seem to sit on the Gaza perimeter berm and wait for a teenager to step slightly too close, or stand inside an APC and smoke a newscaster at 200 meters. Not sure how much Tom Clancy shit they're getting up to.

Grace Olson

Lydia Tár in the John Wick universe is literally just Cate Blanchett in the movie Hanna

Joe Bowden

You’re joking right

unforgivingbisexual

With all due respect Noah, let Liz finish a sentence. Liz, you’re perfect

cstenzy

Anyone remember the early ep where Noah was making fun of Israeli accents? Still makes me laugh thinking about it

k

Why does he keep interrupting Liz

Virgil

I wanna hear Stavvybaby’s take on the John Wick issue

JV

yeah founder of hamas for instance. incredibly old wheelchair bound guy who was also blind. they assassinated him by firing a bunch of missiles from a helicopter as he was leaving friday prayers, killed a whole crowd of people around him too including children. the idea they're some kind of sophisticated super spies doing impressive black ops is ludicrous. and usually when they have done a somewhat more artful assassination it's basically just a case of them blackmailing a palestinian into planting explosives for them

JV

The point about 'Israeli democracy' is literally something Bezalel Smotrich just said in a long article outlining his plans for the future, but as a positive thing lol. He genuinely says "it's fine that we're going to annex everything and then keep the Palestinians from having voting rights because hey technically democracy doesn't mean you have to give *everyone* the vote, and I'm sure the international community will be understanding of this."

Sam Ray

I have a spare ticket for today's Austin Show. Let me know if you need one

K

new subscriber here and i'm late as hell so idk if this has been plugged yet but in terms of investigation i've found the work done by Forensic Architecture to be super enlightening on palestine! just wanna put it out there

The Children of Jack Acid

"I don't really watch movies, but one crossover I'd really like to see? A Robert Benton/Paul Thomas Anderson crossover called 'HAIM-er vs. HAIM-er' where 'Licorice Pizza' and 'Kramer vs. Kramer' exist in the same cinematic universe. Alana Kane and Gary Valentine move to New York City in 1974 and change their identities to Joanna and Ted Kramer, both legal adults, so Alana won't get charged with Statutory after Gary impregnates her with their son, Billy, during an early 70s oil embargo. And then after going on an elevator ride with her son Billy after her divorce, Alana/Joanna's sister Este calls her up and says, 'I've started enjoying going to bars and meeting strange men! But I'm ashamed of being a Jew, so I changed my name to Sarah Connor.' So now, BAM, they're in the Terminator cinematic universe as well--and thus also in James Cameron's 'The Abyss.' But I don't know, really. I'm not into movies."

ploob

The Lobby stuff I think

Matt C

This was quite the prophetic episode. I mean, Israel is pretty predictable, but sheesh.

Gato gris

This was a depressing post 10/7 listen

Hardcore Virgin

Kulwin’s forecasting so depressingly accurate here

PineBat Jo
