Liz’s “wilkkommen” Dr. Strangelove moment v appropriate for the ep topic lol

NYCM&AHole

Shoot the hostage - no sound clip from Speed?

c

looking forward to listening to this on the drive to my shitty family

NYCM&AHole

Hats off, Liz - Gerolsteiner MINERALWASSER SCHMECKT

Winthrop

Boxing day I'm pretty sure is just Canadian black Friday, but then I don't really know what black Friday is.

Connor

Topo or mineragua c’mooon

Blank

Yes please a NXIVM ep—I know they also tried to make connections with the transnational elite of other countries including Mexico, could even be a ep broader than Libya about that pattern. Also I think Liz would have interesting things to say about their program being the dumbest mash up of ayn rand objectivism/basic psychology/gender essentialism

Jones Kolbinsky

Liz finally doing vocal ASMR. I long to be her bride.

Ryan Fox

Have a wonderful day everyone :)

Johan Stefonski

Just got my Coindexter shirt it's beautiful. Looking forward to diffusing accusations of antisemitism every time I wear it ❤️ luvs ya

walker maddalozzo

These Israelis are nuts

FalunBong

israel stinks and IOF hoes are ugly

Owen Webster

Countries like South Sudan not signing the NPT is normally due to a lack of diplomats or nuclear experts and also just bigger things on their plate instead of actual opposition.

Owen Webster

Great episode though! I’ve been eagerly anticipating you guys covering the Israeli nuclear program for a while

Owen Webster

Also VELA Incident and South African program deep dive would be amazing too

alex

liz your vocal fry makes me feel so seen ‼️ our brave leader 🫡

SH

But what is it that keeps us unwaveringly supporting Israel all this time? Like what is it that keeps that going to this day?

Gordon Schmidt

When I heard about those three hostages who were killed, I wondered, how the hell did they escape? Then I had a thought: what if their captors let them go on purpose, hoping that the IDF would kill them? The worst-case scenario for the hostage-takers there is that three hostages are rescued, a drop in the bucket for them, but if the Israelis killed them (as it turned out they did), it's a big blow to Israel's morale and image to its supporters. If that's what happened, it was a brilliant move from the Palestinians. Israel played right into their hands.

Evan Scott

Liz with the correct ranking of common mineral waters

dam

A better question is: what isn't antisemitism?

Dan

*Tatooine has two suns, not moons. Arrakis from 'Dune' would be a better reference: another desert world, with two moons.

Dan

That is an accurate comparison, minus the trampling deaths.

Claire Simon

We found the sex haver of the comment section

Selecao9

Bitch real Gs move in silence like lasagna

cool roar

Denmarks social democrat govdrnment just got rid of one of our holydays, expencive prayer day. Itwasa move to make more money for ukrain

Anne

You may want to look into the case of Sameera Moussa. She was an Egyptian nuclear physicist with access to secret US atomic facilities. A mere month after the ‘52 take over of the free officers in Egypt, Sameera died in a car crash in the US when her US air force driver drove the car into a ravine. Reportedly because the car got out of control. She had previously turned down American citizenship because she wanted to keep working in Egypt and for Egypt.

ChelseOrElse

I agree, Perrier has very weak bubbles.

Dan

No such thing.

Graham Hoese

It's like if I admit I have a gambling problem then I have to do something about it so I definitely don't have a gambling problem (I do have a gambling problem(but I don't))

Word

Is braces’s audio occasionally shitty to anyone else or is that just me

aarinsanity

Does anyone here know Qatar’s role with Hamas and could point me in the right direction? Saw some conspiratorial libs and cons talking about how Qatar funds all the pro-Palestinian movements across the entire United States? Is there any truth to this?

Michael L

Why does Brace think that Kennedy spoke like a Jewish Tennessee Tuxedo?

Petrorenminbi

Israel is just America’s modern-day crusader state

Andy Warden

Yessss love that Liz is Gerolsteiner pilled 💊 🫧

snapplepeachtea

i feel less nervous about north korea and iran having nukes, because they just dont seem as suicidal as israel does at the moment lol

Zach

One of my favorite episodes already

notme

Genocidal*

notme

Could be worse, you could be in America where many people don't even get Christmas off.

Juan Barredo

New gender just dropped: Nuclear Ambiguous

K H

After a point it becomes indistinguishable. Israel went from completionist to speedrun.

K H

No. It's obviously moronic. Like saying satanists fund all pro choice movements. There is a natural human tendency to oppose extermination campaigns.

K H

I'm going to guess they were being super annoying and finally they just agreed to let them go and wished them luck. Probably even told them what would happen.

K H

Money. Israel makes it easy to funnel USD to various bullshit which in turn funds election campaigns. You can't not funnel money or you risk losing your next election. Survivorship bias in elected office selects for self serving cowards. So the trend is too keep them funded since Democratic voters vote blue no matter who.

K H

Do they make any without the scoliosis hunch?

K H

Only if you get an erection or fully ejac.

Simon

I often wonder why it's not more talked about that Rumsfeld imposed tough military sanctions on Israel and had a bunch of their Ministry of Defense employees fired in 2005, after Israel tried to make a deal with China for drone technology. Rumsfeld even kept the sanctions on for a few months after the deal was kiboshed. It seems impossible now, but it wasn't that long ago that the US had red lines that Israel could get punished for crossing.

Natty

It’s my favorite too, was very excited to hear this.

Lulu

I saw Mordechai Vanunu when I was in Jerusalem (guy who leaked nuclear secrets to British press in the 80s). He was sitting in a cafe window, staring out the window, alone. I was told not to speak to him because he'd be thrown back in jail if I did. Like much of my experience in Palestine, it was very moving. Hoping for the best for him.

Darius Faulkner

Cool episode guys Leaked Hillary Clinton emails reveal that NATO killed Gaddafi to prevent the formation of a United States of Africa

Kamran Husain

a movie of the scarface and israeli scientist hit would be so fucking good

aarinsanity

I could find nothing about the supposed Qatar links to pro-Palestinian activism. A lot of the activism seems pretty grass roots!

Carine

My French and Palestinian parents are depressed as fuck right now. Your erm unique tone is so strangely soothing to them. Thank you!

Phillip Harris

Liz & I agree 100 percent re Sparkling water.

Arthur Reitano

Great stuff you guys are at the top of your game …

Tryg

Nuke is Woke.

Le Michel diplomatique

I didn’t know it was a secret because Israel is listed in that end of the world flash animation from high school.

Char Kelly

Really need the TrueAnon x NXIVM episode! Also gerolsteiner rocks but topo has the best bubble by far

Fama

Sorry but what is this. The early IDF didn’t come about from a rag tag militia who were just officers in other wars with stolen guns. They were well funded terrorist groups. The Irgun, the Hagana, the Stern gang

K H

It is completely grass roots. The exact opposite of the AIPAC backed rallies and struggle sessions against college deans. It is a weird cultish thing to even ask. Attended the anti-genocide rallies and ask where I can pick up my check. Only Saudi backed Softbank is handing out cheddar and it is to WeWork shit.

pq

yooooo I'm listening to this on boxing day

Jack Lansman

The product is well water right?

Antipaganda

The IDF doesn't need Hamas to help it kill Israeli citizens, they manage pretty well on their own.

Nick

Half hour in and it’s feeling like this didn’t need to be a two parter 🫢

T

I’m curious about the “lefty communists” mentioned during israel’s founding. maybe that’s my blind spot but all I remember ever reading about were the paramilitary death squads (lehi, irgun, haganah) who mostly dabbled in right wing nationalism, and one failed and embarrassing revisionist take on bolshevism that lasted maybe less than a decade and never held real political power

J

Israel specifically infiltrated the government to help manufacture consent in perpetuity. It’s covered in The Lobby USA which you can find on YouTube

John Atherton

perrier has tiny bubbles but sanpell doesn’t? that is NOT facts

Katy Gruenbaum

get a berkey!!! filter your own water or ionize it

Hall wingfield

Terrorists are pretty ragtag by definition even if they have some money coming in. There's ultimately only so much you can do without possessing a country-level economic and industrial infrastructure, that's why you don't see any Hamas fighter planes

enter_krzysz

100% agree with Brace - Germany should not have an army

JV

brace actually underplays a bit the balance of power at the time of the nakba. in 1948 the Zionist forces outnumbered, outgunned and also had better training than all of the neighbouring Arab armies combined, this has remained the case in every war since (though from 2006 til now we can see just how ridiculously incompetent the Israeli ground forces are now). https://decolonizepalestine.com/myth/israel-was-outnumbered-and-outgunned-in-1948-war/

Fama

Sorry I don’t have the capacity for satire in this moment. If you’ve been afforded that privilege I’m happy for you

Fama

Yes you can do enough ‘without possessing country-level economic and industrial infrastructure’. Read up on liberation movements in history. On top of that the resistance fighters in these liberation movements were not terrorists. IOF precursors, and therefore I would argue IOF, were terrorists

Fama

💯

Fama

Agreed

bruce

Brace "Boots" Belden

Doc Adna

Liz has mixed Perrier and Pelligrino up here, Pelligrino goes flat in 2 min and then sucks. Perrier burns the stomach lining

Fama

Wow the mental gymnastics here lmaoooo

Dee Haytch

Adam with the stately drip in that photo

Chumbucket

Liz didn’t even finish the quote smh. It’s “Real Gs move in silence like Lasagna!”

The Children of Jack Acid

The Mapam party was Marxist-Zionist and got the second-most seats in the first Knesset. In 1948 they maybe came off as ALMOST kind of even cool, at least when it came to their publicly-facing policy desires, according to Wikipedia: "Mapam entered the 1948 coalition government with a radically different policy towards Arab civilians from that pursued by David Ben-Gurion. Mapam's executive committee advocated Jewish–Arab coexistence, opposed the expulsion of civilians and was in favor of the right of refugees to return to their homes after the war.[6] In June 1948 all cadres were issued with a policy statement, "Our policy towards Arabs during the war", written by Aharon Cohen, the Head of Mapam's Arab Affairs Department.[7] Mapam particularly opposed the destruction of Arab houses" I just learned about about this while talking to you and searching for "israeli communism", so I don't know what happened that made that energy go away for the Mapam group and their like-minded friend and kibbutzim. But from reading just a few paragraphs here in the last 10 minutes, it seems to have been a one-two punch of "oops we committed war crimes and razed an Arab village to the ground after an ALA attack on a kibbutz, so maybe the goat is already out of the gate, so we might as well keep doing apartheid and genocide?" and then "uh oh, the Soviets just did a clearly anti-semitic party purge in the Prague Trials of 1953--maybe we should drop our Marxist ideals."

chorchy

Sanpell bubbles are fatter and harder hitting. Perrier is for babies

Michael S. Judge

I actually think Serbino would be slick. Certainly better than Republika Srpska, which sounds like a pre-emptive confession to hate crimes

Hardcore Virgin

Truly shocked how accurate Brace’s JFK impression was

DJC583

Late to the party on this, but this is absolutely untrue lmao. The Arab Legion (Jordanian Army) was trained by the British just like the best members of the Haganah. Egypt and Iraq had tanks and aircraft while Israel had none. Most of the Israeli army at the outset was lightly gunned with arms they smuggled in from Czechoslovakia and had no artillery. At the beginning of the war the troop numbers were about even-- 30k on each side. Maybe 25k on the Arab side, so slightly imbalanced in that regard. By the second half of the war the tide had entirely turned; the Israelis developed an airforce during the course of the war, raised their army to 90k, and the Arab armies struggled with logistics and coordination, but at the outset they absolutely had the advantage and were winning. If the link you provided is telling you anything counter to what I just said, don't trust it.

Taylor Bray

Listening to this the day after seeing Mission Impossible 7 pt 2 where they display a giant Israeli flag on ICBMs 3 different times. Beautiful

Tammy

I’m pretty stoned right now and I was relistening to this episode but looking at the O9A episode and tbh got them mixed up for a sec. I started ranting to my partner about Nazi satanist freaks and then I was like oh shit this is Israel!

Lars

💀

Jurney Metatron

Im just gonna say it - I have never heard a single man complain about "how dry they are" - only woman ever talk about being "dry". I don't know why, but I just don't get it.
