Strawberries and Roses (Patreon)

I finally finished it!
As somebody who is not used to drawing backgrounds as well as somebody who is usually slower because I take a long time thinking about colors and harmonies, this illustration nearly broke my neck. I wanted to do it right. But I am also struggling with making things easier for myself, so I rendered the flowers and strawberries painstakingly even though you don't really see it in the finished pic. I tried different color schemes for the dresses and pillows and so on. In the beginning the whole thing was a bit softer with more pastel hues but i wanted there to be a proper contrast between the warmth of the day outside the window and the shadows and cosy feeling of the room itself.
I am really happy with how it turned out in the end. There was a lot of work involved and a lot of second guessing myself. I did take longer than I intended, but May was a weird month as well. This piece is far out of my comfort zone but I learned so much doing it.

I really hope you like it. I don't think I will have a June piece to vote on but hopefully something in July or maybe a general summer piece.

Thank you so much for your support, especially throughout the last two months. I know my productivity has been weird but I'm hoping to get back to normal, now that my body is starting to gain strength again.
