Let's talk about Monster Catching.

Since we’re trying to avoid throwing spherical objects around, I came with a much simpler approach. As the saying goes: the easiest way to someone’s heart is through their stomach.

So, we're going to cook! And by we i mean you.

How It Works:When you defeat a monster, you’ll face a moral dilemma: do you steal whatever she has on her (you know alredy how to loot), or do you try to capture her? (Honestly, if your only two options after a fight are robbery or kidnapping, you might want to ask yourself who the real villain is...)

If you choose Capture, you'll be presented with THE Cauldron.Cauldron has 4 attribute bars, each randomly pre-filled to a certain levelYour goal? Fill up (or drain) the liquid levels to cover the Red Background as precisely as possible.

Remember those 9,000 berries and random items you’ve been hoarding? You have more of use for them now! Ingredients alter liquid levels based on their attributes. For instance, a basic berry adds +10 to its corresponding liquid, while Jam multiplies the existing amount by 2.0x.Also you have 3 tries.

At first, you’ll only have 1 ingredient slot. However, the upcoming Achievement System (also releasing in v0.4) will let you unlock a 2nd slot to make catching easier after a few failed attempts or by completing other tasks I'm currently ironing out.

I caught a monster... now what?

You can do whatever you like with her! However, I recommend bringing your catches to the Menagerie. (The UI screen is still a work-in-progress)

Delivering the same monster type 5 times unlocks them as a permanent party member.

Monster types are split by their transformations. For example, to build a full Wolf party, you'll need to deliver 5x FMG, 5x BE, and 5x Fat Wolves to recruit all three variations.

You can keep delivering monsters even after reaching the threshold. There is (or will be) an ominous "Anger" bar that triggers something special once it fills up...

"Remember those 9,000 berries and random items you’ve been hoarding?" Is this a hint to items being able to stack in the Warehouse in the next update?
