THE BETA

Beta is the largest population. They are about 70% of the total. They have normal physical characteristics like humans in general. They do not experience Ruth or Heat. They are commonly found in health and public security departments such as security or the police.

Beta can sense Alpha when in a Rut or Omega is in Heat, but Beta has excellent control of themselves.

In the plot of omegaverse BL (I called BL because lately there is an omegaverse with straight/ecchi/hentai genre), in a same-sex marriage, Beta man and Omega man are forbidden to marry. The reason is the rare of omega population (only 10% of the total). Omega men can only be pregnant by Alpha, and to get a significant chance of an Omega child, one of the child's parents must also be an Omega.

So if a Beta man marries an Omega man, it is inevitable that the Omega will be sterile.

But, in the story that I made, since love doesn't look at gender, there was a chance where Beta man and Omega man were allowed to marry, as long as the Omega man was willing to get pregnant by buying Alpha sperm from a sperm bank later. This is all done by the government so that Omega dynamics does not become extinct.

When I do research on omegaverse, it feels like I'm going back to the past, senior high school, studying a biology course on reproduction. The difference is, this dynamics matter was never taught by my teacher *laughs*
