New character wooooo!

Yeah… “that was so short” is quite a common thought, it’s one of the reasons many watch this anime two at a time lol (5 and 6, 7 and 8, 9 and 10… episode 11 is one of the few that can be watched alone🤔)

Himmel was simply a true hero, in life, in death, and even in fantasy.

Daniel

Just watch 2 episode in a row :p

stark my beloved...

Himmel the GOAT even as an illusion to manipulate, told Frieren to shoot him

Vaxus335

We had first Frieren, yes, but what about second Frieren?

Jordan Landry

The most powerful spell in the whole show… Fern’s pout face

Stark's awesome :D Glad you're meeting him! Yeah, sometimes the episodes feel short AF and some seem to be like... a two-fer. In pairs, a package deal kind of thing? like the other commenters said. Am I making any sense? ^_^;

Milosz Skowronski

I love how it makes so much sense. The Einsam creates illusions based on people's memories of their loved ones. So it tells you everything you need to know how Frieren remembers Himmel - pure, honest, caring, protective, and a true ally even after death :)

Stark is one of my favorite characters in a long time, such a great addition to the team/dynamic

Stark, similar to Fern, is obscenely talented for their age.. Also Stark means Strong, so the name gives it away too.

I'm thinking that when the Mage of the Party of Heroes that defeated the Demon King says "Run!" you should not pause before running. But now Fern knows a valuable thing! Thank you for another fun reaction!

Another example of the little things I missed the first 5 times I watched the show: Fern was dreaming of her conversation with Heiter. He said "If you're a good girl, then I might be willing to visit you sometimes." Fern wakes up and says "I see." This time I take it as her understanding Heiter's "visit". I like to think we are shown the difference between his "visit" and the illusion.

Alex Hencher

Himmel is the GOAT, but Heiter is the under appreciated hero of this tale. He found and nurtured Fern, tricked Frieren into taking her on as an apprentice. All while doing the research and conversing with Eisen to find Flamme lost notes. Just to allow Frieren to free herself of regret and find some peace of mind.

When Frieren stated she was "used to her master's begging," it is interpreted by some fans as referring to Flamme's consistent use of deception, particularly her tactic of pretending to be weak and begging for her life to lower the guard of demons she was fighting. This strategy was part of her broader approach of suppressing her magic power to appear powerless, a method that allowed her to survive encounters with dangerous creatures by making them underestimate her. The phantoms created by the Einsam demon are known to perfectly replicate the memories and behaviors of the people they mimic, which means the phantom of Flamme begging for her life was an accurate reflection of her actual behavior in past confrontations. Frieren's detachment and refusal to elaborate when questioned by Fern suggest the experience was significant and possibly emotionally complex, though the exact nature of Flamme's fate remains unexplained.

"That one-one hundredth changed you" then we get confirmation that that's true when Frieren's Einsam took the shape of Himmel instead of Flamme, her master. Just brilliant writing and execution. Also, yay! Stark's here. First time I watched this episode, I busted out laughing when he told Frieren and Fern the truth about what happened with the dragon (Fern was like, "This one is no good") 🤣🤣🤣
