Anya x Damian one of the cutest pairings in manga, I can’t wait for future scenes to be animated with them. Glad you’re enjoying SF so far!!

Haven518

The name of the opening song is Mixed Nuts, good ear hearing peanuts lol

winter

spy family is just so peak 🥹 glad to see you enjoying it too🙂‍↕️

This show is so unironically great at slice of life, even with how wild it can get hahaha! The wholesome relatable moments really are grounded in emotion.

Yeah, it's also fun to find out what character my favorite VA would play in this anime. For example, Bakugo & Himmel's VA are same!😊

Dan Reed

Anya at school is always peak comedy! Also remember that Anya lied to Loid about her age so it makes sense school is a bit tougher for her, she’s younger than her classmates!

Plushxi

I mostly watch anime in sub but I watched Spy x Family in dub. I agree, the dub was very well done! I think this anime is the most wholesome series I’ve ever seen.

I really enjoy watching with you 🥹 love this show…

For me as fun as this show is, I'm glad that Loid and Yor are written in such a way that provides good examples for healthy family problem solving. Whereas most of us who had strict parents repeat how they're parents raised them. I feel like one of the brilliant things about Spy X Family (including the Manga) is that it's ability to ground all of the comedy, wacky Spy/Assassing hijinks with a heart of pure gold. Each character is so brilliantly crafted.

the comedy and emotional moments in this show are so perfect. when I watched it the first time I was like, "is this my favorite anime?" lol

FlexiejayAnime

I JUST had that moment today... hahah I'm loving it!

The Opening song Mixed Nuts really talks about the characters not being able to be their real selves and how days are going to be dreary but that they have one another. Peanuts in the song is about how if you buy a bag if mixed nuts there are peanuts in there pretending to be nuts even though they aren't actually.

DietPop

Loid takes the omelette the ketchup splattered on for his breakfast, such a dad move lol i love it

Vik Persson

That is right, Damian luuuuvs Anya, But... girls have cooties! Oh the tribulations of first grade.

Mirza Baig

I just figured out who damian's VA is. but i can't say because it would spoil another anime you're watching. hot take, but he's one of the most OP and badass characters in modern shonen.

Andrew Diseker

One neat thing, as this a joint production with Clover Works and Studio Wit, the studios divided up the episodes, one would work on their specialty of action, if the episode was a "spy" type episode, and the other would work on the "family" type episodes. I can"t remember which was which, but the opening credits reflect the dichotomy.

Every time I watch this episode, Loid's final thoughts at the end breaks my heart a little more each time 😢
