I'm also not a huge fan of the fanservice but I just kind of ignore it. I've seen enough old degenerate anime to be unphased by it. I do think if they cut it all out the story would be better for it.

The story is so good and animation is great but a lot of unnecessary scenes. I don’t even want to call it fan service bc idk who it’s serving.

watching this show the 2nd time in like 4yrs and now watching it back again I definitely agree with you the fan service is too much besides that you'll enjoy the show a lot.

2nd time watching. I really like the plot/world building, the animation and a lot of the characters (Benimaru the goat). The Tamaki "Lucky Lecher" doesn't really bother me that much I just chuckle at the predicament and then don't think about it again. I've seen a lot of shows with fan service but that alone doesn't "make or break" a show for me

I always thought it was unnecessary till they basically addressed it by calling it “lucky lecher” like it’s a jinx or an actual ability so then I’m like are they making a jab at fanservice by making it that obvious?? Like a show called delicious in dungeon they make fun of fanservice by only giving it to a character “senshi” and he’s this hairy dwarf 😭. But idk if it’s a ability in the world or them just adding her in purely for fanservice reasons either way in the middle of the fight is CRAZY

Fire Force, the anime with fan service for us guys with Tamaki and fan service for Flexie with Joker. We see you melting over there Flexie J. But yeah, the fan service turned off some people. (There are whole youtube videos about it.) but overall I didnt mind it. I see her more as comedy relief. That said, she's in the opening for a reason, you'll see.

It's a japanese standard. We can't ask them to cut with it because of our western standards. And when I watch a western show like game of throne or anything else, there is 1000 times more sexual content, in every shows... and it's absolutely not in a funny way.

ofc the majority of the men (there are women out there too but not as much as men) that consume media of that type would be ok with the fan service because they normalized it.

the excessive fan service is the biggest reason why I'm surprised the show won the vote over something like Re:zero. The show is really not bad, it's interesting, has cool fights, fantastic sound design. But the unnecessary fan service really does hold it back, especially because of the timing of it. If it were at least relegated to specific scenes not in the middle of important fights/plot it'd be a lot better.
