I think what makes this series so great and unfortunately short is that most episodes are one-off, unique, and vastly different than each other, plus the soundtrack is just incredible. Given the series came out more than 20 years ago, a lot of the issues and topics it covers are still relevant today, which speaks to its greatness. The series isn't super emotional like a lot of great anime, but honestly it feels a lot more like real life where the world is cold and most ppl just do their own thing to get by or ahead, and typically anime is an escape/outlet from that whereas this series mirrors it.

Mushroom Samba has always been one of my favorites. Shows at the time Cowboy Bebop tended to end after one or two seasons. I really remember the shows of that time well, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Paranoia Agent, Ghost in the Shell and the Big O. I understand people liking the dubs because they watched them on TV, but I always bought the DVDs later too, and watched them in Japanese.
