First: that crazy cut shot Bokuto does is *still* awesome to watch. Hell yeah. I really like that moment with Bokuto and his team! He's a bit of a baby, but I really like his character, and it's cool that his team seems to understand him well and adapts to his... behaviour. Baby behaviour 😂 And I continue to relate with Kenma as an introvert. I love Hinata, but someone like him IRL *would* exhaust me! I wouldn't keep up with him either. But he'd be a blast to spend time with... in short doses, maybe.

For the monkey I think it's a mistranslation Bokuto probably just called his name (Saru does mean monkey, but it's probably Saru from Sarukui) lol It's a common shortening of name like how Nishinoya is called Noya or Ryuunosuke as Ryuu (Imagine they translate Ryuu as dragon too lol 😭)

I absolutely adore Bokuto. He’s kinda a big boy version of Hinata with his head full of Volleyball. Only he’s also a big baby. He’s been very lucky to have such a patient setter like Akaashi by his side. BTW…Akaashi, Bokuto’s babysitter/setter, is voiced by Osaka Ryota, the same VA as Tsubaki-Chan from Windbreaker or Gyutaro from Demon Slayer. It’s kinda hard to tell with the way he carries his voice. Did you ever guess Kenma’s VA?

I don't have a name drop today, so it's just gonna be a random comment. I watched this first subbed on Netflix and the translation that they're using for the "cogs" is "gears" so Takeda's going about saying "First Gear" and "Second Gear" like he's some rubber pirate guy.

I get excited every time I see you posted a new Haikyuu!! reaction. We are slowly seeing them grow. Just imagine, out of 60... SIXTY or more matches, they only won 3. I think that is expected if they are trying to develop new skills and try things they have never before, but it's crazy to think about playing that many games.

You watch episodes like this and you have no doubt how this story changed Japanese volleyball culture and pretty much saved it from extinction. Most of the japanese national players are well aware of Haikyuu and read it/watched it during their journey. Literally generational show.

Something to keep track of flexy, like some geniuses in sports kageyama is actually kind of superstitious, whenever hes doing well and we hear his inner dialogue he always without fail attributes it to whatever he eats, this is the first time they show it and its the bbq but we dont hear this often enough so people often forget and get weirded out whenever he does it 😭

When I watch this, I was a teenager I just laugh it off but now I'm playing semi professional sport, having teammates like Bokuto is so frustrating. I rather have Hinata over Bokuto irl situation.
