that poor guard at the beginning he got knocked out by Kabuto in the arena and now by Itachi, he cant catch a break :D Im in the show finallyyy wooo! xD and yes Itachi is there too I guess :P what a perfect introduction, Orochimaru hypes it up at first, then the way we get a slow reveal and a little fight in the end, lovely :) Kisame literally means demon shark while Itachi means weasel :) and the Kazekage is dead, good riddance I guess, Gaara might appreciate that :D

Iachi is stronger than orochimaru because he has a direct counter for orochimaru. While orochimaru has nothing that can counter Itachi

the only thing that annoys me in naruto universe is the retconning and in the show. wait to you watch shippuden the show is great but they retcon a ton of stuff. and people act like they never seen naruto.

name one jutsu that itachi can do that isnt plot armor. his whole sharigan is plot armor. orochimaru didn't even try edo tensei on him, why??? because the creator retconned it and used orochimaru a plot device. if he summoned all the dead kage even itachi with plot armor wouldn't have survived. i don't want to spoil anything in the comments for flexie. your people dont even realize he killed the kazekage and hokage. 2 of the 5 kages of the world and two of the stongest kages ever. but somehow he could even scratch itachi you drank the koolaid if you blindly believe itachi is stronger if they fought with no mind of the plot orochimaru wins everytime. And this is coming from an itachi fan his story is one of the best in naruto.

Damn right, how people can argue about this when Itachi, himself states that he is around Jiraya's level and Orochimaru is obviously stronger than Jiraya. Then mediocre Shippuden happened, retconned everything and got Naruto his reputation as wasted potential, potential that OG Naruto created.

After seeing what Itachi does later on, and I mean like... in the second last fight he's involved with in the entire series where he pulls a MASSIVE Aizen-level ploy, no one can say in good faith Orochimaru is stronger. Aside from the Sharingan, people forget Itachi's insane speed.

LiuXuande - That never happened. When Itachi and Kisame were talking about that, it was in reference to Naruto by virtue of him being the Nine Tails' vessel, and nothing else. We know this because, when they're talking about the individual in question, they go on to say "HIS bodyguard is one of the legendary 3". Jiraya is not his own bodyguard. Unless you also believe the statement that Jiraya solos the entire Akatsuki organization, because Kisame says (in reference to their mission) that "even with more men, the result would be the same". Plus, even if the subject were Jiraya, we know what Itachi's motivation would be to say that as a deterrent for engaging him.

Itachi is so damn cool, and it's not just because of his power, but his aura. He's not showboaty like Deidara when he invaded the Sand to capture Gaara. Itachi just calmly strolls through Konoha with no sense of urgency whatsoever. Had many chances to take Naruto. Hell, even when he confronted Naruto at the hotel, he knocked and asked Naruto POLITELY to come with. He's not the type of person to panic, and it's difficult to imagine him being one-upped. When he's on the scene, he commands. He knows what's up.

juan - That was covered with the "before these eyes, all of your jutsu are useless" line that came from Kishimoto in direct relation to that moment when Itachi said Itachi was stronger than him. Hiruzen didn't use all of his Jutsu either. Kakashi never used close to 1000 Jutsu. So what? It means they didn't lose/whatever because they didn't use them all? That's not how that works. Orochimaru got outplayed, and his trump got outplayed as well. Had Kishimoto decided to depict a longer and/or different fight to convey that moment, he'd have had Itachi display his ability over Orochimaru regardless. He just kept in theme with Itachi trouncing opponents really fast with little effort. No one even gets past the first phase in a boss fight with Itachi. They get stuck on his Genjutsu before he even has to try.

"Genjutsu from wish .com" LOL Kurenai is actually a really powerful genjutsu user, it's just that Itachi's built different. She knew Itachi had the Sharingan. Everyone also knows the Sharingan can cast genjutsu with eyesight. She still deemed her attack appropriate and it was. Itachi's genjutsu and genjutsu counter are just op as fuck. Also Sharingan, or other dojutsu, doesn't automatically counter any genjutsu. Strong genjutsu will still put you under it. I can't stress this enough, ITACHI IS TOO OP. It's not that Kurenai is useless or stupid.

@juan calderon 1- Edo Tensei requires prep. Plus he wouldn't even be able to summon anything before Itachi puts him under genjutsu. Also Totsuka Blade negs anything Orochimaru can summon before he gets the improved version of the jutsu from Kabuto. 2 - Raasa isn't one of the strongest kage ever. Also Orochimaru basically lost the to the 3rd Hokage. Plus Itachi is stronger than any living Kage at least on one on one. 3 - OROCHIMARU AND ITACHI LITERALLY FOUGHT TWICE AND ITACHI ONE SHOT HIM BOTH TIMES! @LiuXuande You're a goddamn idiot. Shippuden isn't mediocre and didn't "retcon everything". There are barely any retcons that contradict prior information. "Wasted potential" isn't even close to the truth. Even with one horrible choice at the end, Shippuden delivered masterfully. Yes the man whose entire life is built around deceiving people definitely spoke the truth in that instance when he has the motivation to defend the village and spare as many people as possible, including Naruto. Where do you even get the fact that Orochimaru is stronger than Jiraiya, other than headcanon? The Sannin's whole thing is being 3 very strong ninja that are around equal in strength and have their own unique jutsu and specialties. They're around mid to high Akatsuki level. @unc54 The day fake fans like yourself understand that Naruto as a story is quite well written is the day humanity's collective IQ will increase astronomically.
