Just a reminder that there won't be any chapters next week. I'll be on the other side of the country visiting my mum, along with catching up on the sleep I missed editing book 10. And probably doing my taxes. Yay...

U.S. or Australian accountant? 'Cause U.S. accountants earn their fees the hard way (U.S. Tax Code is no joke and in no way amusing). Not that I think Aussie accountants skive off on the job. Probably. I'd hope. Maybe?

I like to think only one certainty. You can always refuse to pay taxes. It might not have a desired outcome for you but you can refuse.

Considering us tax code is only so difficult because accountant firms lobby to block efforts by the government to make them easier, or to outright make them harder, I'm not gonna feel too bad for accountants

If you're doing your taxes, it doesn't count as a vacation, that should basically be a universal rule of existence. Also, I really hope you have an accountant, like seriously man, you definitely should have an accountant do your taxes
