Weekly report 336 (Patreon)

Hi everybody.

Happy Friday! I hope you’re all feeling well and had a great week.

Last week, Chestnut wrapped up the polish work on a series of images from an event. She then immediately continued working on the remaining artworks.

My main job was adding the completed art to the game. I then spent a day testing everything. I had to make some changes to the dialogue, and I'm going to edit the text and adjust the character poses when necessary over the weekend. Additionally, I went through the game several times, looking for typos and grammatical issues. I’m preparing things so that once Chestnut has finished her work and I have coded the art, I can make a test build for her to give me feedback (and also test her own art in action).

I must add that while telling you all our internal deadline (end of October to early November), I genuinely don’t know if we will make it. My non-art-related part of the work is finished for now, and I see Chestnut working many hours every day to try to get the art to a state she’s happy with. But sometimes reaching that point isn’t easy, and completing things requires a lot of effort. Either way, I don’t want to put any more pressure on Chestnut than she’s already under (I’ve been there, and can confirm first-hand that the stress is not fun). Still, if we’re able to work on WaL, it’s thanks to your support, and if I see that we’re unlikely to stick to that timeframe (noting that I’ll also need time to add the stuff to the game and then test it), I’ll let you all know before the end of this month .

In the meantime, I hope when the game is ready and you get to play it, you enjoy what we’ve done with Holly’s story.
