Sorry to those that couldn't make the livestream to watch with me and a couple other Patrons, but here is the video! I might be making a few tweaks here and there, but I hope you all enjoy.

And let me know about the post credits scene. I'm debating leaving it in or taking it out. Enjoy!

I’m curious, why the Imperial-I model of Star Destroyer over the Imperial-II? Just a case of what model was available?

Johan Faas

Sadly missed the livestream, but just watched the short. That was great! Such a unique concept, never seen something like it in a Star Wars fanfilm. And what a ridiculous jump in production quality from your previous shorts, it's clear a boatload of time and money went into this. The only nitpick/point/whatever I have is in the opening text; is "the cloud city" correct? Shouldn't it just be "Cloud City"? But then "Cloud City of Bespin" doesn't feel quite right either in that context, that should probablt be rephrased then anyway. Nitpicks aside, awesome work, Holden! As for the post-credits scene, I might be missing something, but it seems basically completely unrelated to the rest of the short? Or are you hinting at a second short?

hthardman

Yeah, the unrelated aspect is why I'm thinking of cutting it. Just that there was a Mandalorian watching as the Empire was checking out the planet, as for WHY, it would be for a future project of some kind.

Nice! I always liked the stories of Vader's character study. This was pretty good! Keep up the good work!

Povenmire

That was good. I seem to recall you saying that you did things in this you’re always wanted to see in Star Wars. I’m assuming that what happened with that x wing was one of them

Johan Faas

Ah ok, that makes sense! I don't know what others have said, but it feels to me like it detracts from the short a little - "See to it that he remains dead" with the shot of Vader looking up feels like a very strong ending, I feel like when people watch it and then scrub through the credits to watch the post-credits scene and see some random footage of a mandalorian, it takes away a bit of the punch of that final scene. It's not a massive thing either way, but I would personally remove the post-credits scene. Maybe save it to post it separately as a teaser for the potential new project at a later date.

That was really well done! Keep up the good work Holden!

Through victory, my chains are broken… WOW HOLDEN! Fantastic job on this! Really enjoyed it and couldn’t believe the superb quality of it all. Would love to see more in the future. Congratulations on completing this awesome project!

Brian Nelson

This was awesome, the shot of the x-wing blowing up mid light speed jump was amazing! Really well done man. All I can see is it left me wanting more!

Kian Chamine

Fun story, and really good production considering the resources. Hope you get the chance for more projects like this moving forward!

The Star Destroyers had come from a specific section of the Galaxy where the Imperial-II models were less in use. The Empire had begun to phase out the Imperial-I model and sent them out on this mission as they were the default ships in the area. Real answer: uh...maybeee
