I'm back from my Disney run-cation (complete with utter and extensive exhaustion) - but I came back a finisher!

Race RecapI've put so much work into rebuilding my fitness and focusing on good solid finishes for these races. In the past, I've taken training less seriously - or at least, sometimes I have. I've had a poor attitude to be frank, and not one that served me well or brought me closer to my goals. I've shifted my mindset, and my activities, and it's paying off. I'm so exited to see what's next, and to keep working towards the version of me that I want to be. We had decided not to do the 5k this weekend because it was a new format - no regrets on that decision, it was much more enjoyable to watch it vs run it. TBH unless the 5k is a part of the challenge on race weekends, we'll most likely be skipping them moving forward. The medals are cute but one more 2am wakeup is NOT so cute. The 10k was 3 Caballeros themed, and we loved it - the music was all Spanish versions of Disney songs, they had a live band, and it was just a great run. We felt good, we finished strong, and took it easy to make sure we were ready for Sunday's half. Andrew dressed like Donald from the ride, and I did a deep cut - Donald as a bush from when his animatronic was broken. I was far from the only bush Donald, which made me so happy to see.

We made a mistake in doing SO MUCH walking around on Friday - Lunch at Disney springs with our charity partner - Kellsie's Hope - an amazing event that we won't miss again in the future - and then did a bunch of rides at the park. I think it was 40k steps - oops ;P The half was a challenge for both of us - my feet did not tolerate the shoes I chose to wear, because I thought we'd be doing more running and they're more made for that. We had an unexpected issue come up that slowed us down in the second half, and it made for a tough finish. All that said, we still finished strong with gas in the tank (even if not in the leg tank :P), marking my official return to Disney long distance running. It was such an amazing feeling running by the places I watched these races from just one year prior <3

Creative Progress

Book progress is moving - slow, but moving - more on that later this week. Board game I hope to have some details on soon as well. I'll have some 3d Print files to share shortly, as well as some channel emote specific ones that will be Patreon exclusives for a while - those I am MOST excited about, and those should come in batches, with the first one launching tomorrow (if the test print goes well today!)Pictures from the trip are attached - you see them first <3 Your support means that I can do things like take my laptop on this trip and write, and not feel like I'm overextending. Supporting the creative work I do is paying off, and I'mdoing more and am more invested than ever before. Thank you. Love and Cookies,-Misty/Imperial
