The Pai Sho white lotus tile is what Uncle had. Remember he's apart of that secret organization. It means this sword master was apart of that organization as well.

One of the shapes Toph makes is the nickelodeon splash logo.

This episode, aside from Iroh, is just as you pointed out- it's all about Sokka. The creators also wanted to pay homage to their choreographer, Sifu Kisu. Master Pian Dao is made in his image. Here is a quick behind the scenes video of the animation choreography. https://youtu.be/DJ86QWzI2Wo?si=T4OXEljh0tq6R0LU

Oh wow, that's really cool, I didn't know that! I swear, with every rewatch, I find out new things about the series

Jim D

That's always one of my favorite little Easter eggs in the show 😂

Travis Stoll

I own the DVDs and the creators have a lot of episodes with commentary.

I heard about Joe's dog passing away from Drew on stream a few months ago and felt so bad and empathized with him but hearing him mention it hear for the first time on camera made me realize why I love their content so much. They're real and not afraid to show real emotions, either good or bad. To any young men out there watching them just remember this is the sign of a true man. Being strong and stoic are important but equally so is showing and embracing one's true emotions. They joke around and do skits but also they aren't afraid to let themselves really feel whatever they feel about a show or movie or anything else. I'm so glad I found this community.
