Man I clicked on this so fast! Cheers!

Just in time!

Randee Carreno

Happy "Rebels" Sunday, Strugglenation Crew! 😊 The absolute best way to start off a Sunday morning. One of the best episodes of the whole series. And the Ahsoka vs. Vader lightsaber duel easily ranks at the top of my favorite "Star Wars" lightsaber duels along with: Luke vs. Vader in ROTJ, Ahsoka vs. Darth Maul in Clone Wars, Anakin(Vader) vs. Obi-Wan in ROTS, and Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan vs. Darth Maul in TPM. Already looking forward to the start of season 3 next. 😊

Certainly one of the greatest season finales I've seen. So much build up from Clone Wars culminating towards this moment between Anakin and Ahsoka. Loved this!

Ana Greer

Yes!!!! I'm so happy this dropped today. Now my friends I'm gonna go have breakfast and watch along. I'm so happy!

YoungSensei

That's why my Star Wars flame is still alive

leah

Y'all also might not have caught onto it but Ezra not only has the holocron but has managed to open it, which only one who wields the dark side can do. So not only have the rebels taken some losses but the season ends with Ezra following the same path as Anakin.

SpongeGlock

What’s even crazier is that the level of episode hype scaling doesn’t end here it just keeps getting better

Avery Smiley

Yall aren’t gonna believe this but the next 2 seasons are even better (season 3 is my personal fav of the series)

Blue

not sure if noticed, that owl that show up is the same one of the planet, anakin, oni wan, and ashoka was stranded on with the father, the daughter and son, where they found out about anakin becoming vader and stuff. the owl was the girl when she transforms who revived ashoka.

Lissi

I hate to see Ezra cry. It reminds me that he's just a boy. We forget that because he's experiencing so much.

Paul V.

Keep in mind they did the broken mask thing YEARS before the Kenobi series ripped them off. It's such a powerful moment and it feel a little lessened now that they've done it twice. This was the first and BEST.

Season 3 and Season 4 pick up the pace. I'm glad you were not spoiled on this episode. EDIT: Your Anakin PTSD comment after the episode is duly noted. Excellent inquiry. Rebels will make the Ahsoka live-action series (effectively Rebels Season 5) make a lot of sense.

Dan Looney

Ashoka v Maul is my favorite.

“I Am No Jedi” 🤜🫳🎤 Great Reaction thx as always and looking forward to Season 3.

I've just joined Patreon to see 'early' your ending of Clone Wars, but now see you're already in the middle of peak Rebels 😅

Sam Diaz

The episode that genuinely broke my heart…💔

Lady TE

Agreed. Ahsoka is a love letter to Clone Wars and Rebels.

Jack B

Clone Wars ended some time ago 🤣 But hey at least you can binge their Rebels reactions!

BlackDevil1942

So I just wanna contextualize some things for you lads. When Rebels came out, there was no season 7 of Clone wars. When we met Ahsoka at the end of season 1, that was the first time we saw her since she Left the Jedi. When we met Rex again, we only had Revenge of the Sith to go off of. When Ahsoka and Vader encountered each other in both the Premier and the Finale; that was the first time they'd interacted since Ahsoka left the temple. When Maul appeared, we hadn't seen him since Palpatine zapped his ass on mandalore. When Season 2 ended, there was no Mandalorian, or Ahsoka show, or even Season 7 of Clone Wars. Nobody knew what actually happened to Ahsoka or if she was even alive. Yes we saw a figure walking into the ruins, but that could've easily been her ghost or something else. Until a certain point, Ahsoka was considered "dead" in the series and the Star wars universe. That's why I kinda suggested watching it the way it came out, CW S1-6, Rebels, then CW S7. That's how Most people experienced this. Granted the fact Ahsoka had a series out at this point made it moot lol. *Edit: Also not spoilers of any kind since Mandalorian and the Ahsoka show are set after Return of the Jedi and after all the animated shows. so you knew Ahsoka survived before you even saw this show lol.

YodatheHobbit

So nice of you guys to put Part 2 up too!

Ingeneious

But it is poetic. Ahsoka and Kenobi each broke a side of the mask and revealed a side to see Vader for who he truly is. But Luke, who could take the mask off fully, to bring Anakin all the way back.

Ingeneious

That voice mixing of Vader and Anakin will never not get me holding back tears.

This was the episode that had us all "Oh, Rebels is like THAT." We thought it was about a scrappy team and about forming the Rebellion. Then Filoni threw this at us and we realized it was a pivotal part of Star Wars lore. And Vader descending on top of his Tie Fighter was one of the most gangster shots in all of Star Wars.

BlackDevil1942

Also fun fact: In Rebels, Ahsoka cuts the Right side of Vader’s helmet and confronts “Anakin”. In Obi-wan, old Ben cuts the Left side of Vader’s helm and confronts “Anakin”. …….Think about it Keep in mind that we heard: “I won’t leave you! Not this time. “ “……..Then you will DIE!” Before we heard: “I’m sorry. I’m sorry Anakin. For all of it!” “I am not your failure OBI-WAN.” “You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker….I did! “ “Then my friend is truly dead!” “Goodbye….Darth.”

I wish I could go back and experience this episode for the first time. The drama/tension felt through it all is once in a lifetime for Star Wars fans everywhere. Finally getting to see Vader V Ahsoka after all of clone wars truly hits hard. Characters we all fell in love with one such opposite ends and hearing that faint voice of Anakin after Vader’s mask is damaged is Cinema no other way to describe it. While Vader and Ahsoka being the main focus DARTH MAUL shows up and his entire dynamic with the group is something so out of the ordinary and as always he’s causing trouble. The final couple minutes when the music swells and it just leaves you with the character and potential futures, I can’t wait to see the start of season 3 it only gets better!

Ana Greer

You are correct! I've watched this reaction so many times and I finally looked up the info. It is Nika Futterman who voiced the obelisk or as it is casted, "the presence". She also voiced Ventress. I can exhale now. :D I'm patiently waiting for more REBELS. Please. Thanks.
