Fun fact: This movie is the actors of Andy and Piper’s first role. Andy’s actor is actually 17 and Piper’s actor is actually visually impaired. They both did incredible Not so fun fact: This movie has personal influences from the brother’s real lives. A close friend of theirs had lost her child, which was inspiration for Laura. And their grandfather, I believe, actually passed in their house and they found him; inspiration for the father in the shower. It adds an extra layer of darkness and realness when knowing that while watching this The brothers also said that this was the happy ending 😀……….

I think possessed Ollie could kinda echo the dead's voices because didn't he also sound like a cat earlier in the film?

NJK_Jinkies

He could mimic whatever he consumes, they don’t have to be dead. Ollie ate the cats tail, their father’s hair, bit Laura, and I’m assuming she fed a bit of Andy to him as well

So Ollie was never her daughter and he wasn’t meant to be her daughter. He was a demon that would be the tool to get her daughter into Piper. Ollie had to consume the daughter’s body (consuming her soul) and then transfer it to Piper once she died. That’s why throughout the movie Ollie progressively got more hungry and was just eating anything, it was time for the transfer. Ollie is also actually Connor. Laura just used the name and description of her nephew (the kid that actually had red hair in the video clips) so that Piper wouldn’t know what Ollie actually looked like and people wouldn’t think anything of it. So when Andy went to the lady and she was like “You’re talking about Laura’s nephew, what??” And why Piper was able to find out Laura was lying to her once she actually touched Ollie
