So glad that you enjoyed it. I can't wait to see you react to the rest of the episodes.

SJ McQuillan

If you dunnae want additional potential 'spoilers', I'd recommend not pausing on the items that flashed at around 43:54 but would be interesting to revisit at thae end of Ep 02 ( you'll understand the quotes for spoilers after watching ep 02) Trent's gotta go, in the most painful way possible. And that he's at thae level of government that he is. Begs thae question as to what else he's been up to/been behind.

FrisbeeDude42

This is what I was waiting for, checked every day and resubbed as soon as I saw it :)

Yeah, right from jump you know Trent Ikithon is a colossal fuck. A dangerous, colossal fuck. Caleb went to great lengths to try and get that cat. When Nott punched him in the dick and he 'vomited', it was just stomach acid. He hadn't eaten in a while, and was just so purely focused on getting the components to summon the cat, it hurt to see the spell ultimately fail. This show's definitely more of a slow burn than Vox machina, which often had a breakneck pace, but I think this pacing and episode length really suits the Mighty Nein better, letting us slowly get to know the characters, their contexts, the political situation, etc. Great reaction!

It’s nice being on a different continent than Vox, adds to the new story w/o old baggage, I especially love how much effort there is in showing magic differences, and especially use of components, verbal, and somatic/geestires to use it. Glad you enjoyed it, again sorry for your loss, knew that conjuring at the end would sting

Crazypanda99

One thing I enjoy about this one is we get to see how all the characters come to work with each other where as in Vox Machina they have already been traveling together for some time

SJ McQuillan

I really do like the 'session zero' feel of it.

Ikathon & Delilah briarwood are next level villains dude. If I know one thing about critical role it's that their villains are fucking WILD and so damn hate-able. Love this shit dude, good to see yall back in the Critter sphere. <3

To quote a character portrayed by Liam (Vax/Caleb) "You are not prepared!!" - Illidan

Facts!! That Trent runs that show of atrocities and Delilah was deemed so bad that she was EXPELLED says everything about why they're two of the most heinous villains in CR's history. (To be fair, Delilah was really expelled because she was caught and necromancy was a bad look, but still.)
