hello! ✨

lately, I've been listening to a lot of new (to me) music and am reminded of how crucial music is to my life and what I make. music has the power to conjure images in my mind, influencing my art and the rhythmic minutiae of my days. the push and pull of these motions remind me of the ocean, of running water, of cycles that repeat and ground us after efforts exerted in daily ascent. simultaneously in the ongoing present and the evolving past, time moves in circles, always revealing itself as familiar and new.

above: I loved the idea of making a piece that traces multiple swirling compositions that interlace and tie together. working on this piece felt like moving puzzle pieces around until they clicked into place. I'm continually experimenting with ways to infuse my art with liveliness and motion, which has been a lot of fun to explore!

and this month's sticker~ I couldn't get the image of seaweed/kelp hair out of my mind and thought it'd be fun to design a character with that idea. also seemingly can't get enough of purples and greens these days!
