Second milestone reached, start of the comic, end of the loser's bracket and schedule going forward (Patreon)

Good afternoon! Already August, huh? Summer sure does fly by quickly, huh.

This may sound like old news to most of y'all, but I never made a formal announcement of the second, 1000€/month milestone being passed, which is now has! Massive thanks to everyone who've pledged and made this a reality! As promised, my first comic, party In Ipanema Baby, will now become a reality! The first three pages have been all sketched, the first page is already out and I'm working on the second one as we speak. I really hope you're all as exited as I about this project!

Ironically enough this new milestone was passed in July, exactly one year after I hit the first milestone and started doing the Loser's bracket pinups. Which nicely brings me to the topic I really wanted to talk about.

Last month was really straining on me both physically and mentally. The amount of work on my plate kept on piling up and up and up and in a frantic rush to get everything done in time, I completely neglected my commissions; which should have already been done by the beginning of July. Commissions are, as much as it may not seem like it, still my primary source of income so I really cannot afford to have them as a "second priority" while I tackle and endless barrage of Patreon obligations. So unfortunately, something had to go. The commissions obviously can't be abandoned, the comic is already well on its way, the sketch requests are quite quick and simple and the biggest incentive to pledge high... So all that remains are the pinups.

To tell you the truth, the loser's bracket was never really meant to be something permanent. It was something I quickly came up with to reward you guys when I reached the 500€ milestone way quicker than anticipated. But now that I'm working on a comic, I think it is time to retire the concept. So as of August 2022, the loser's bracket is discontinued. It was a good year-long run, buddy. I'm sorry if this comes a s a disappointment, but it really is the only way I can manage my work without just working 24/7 (which I already almost do lol) and totally burning myself out, or abandoning commissions, which, like I already said, I literally can't afford to do.

But now, with this new paradigm established... What next?

The first "main" pinup poll will still remain the same as it has always done so nothing has changed in that regard. But now, when a character is out, they really are out. Vote accordingly! Look forward to those at the 1st of every month.

Sketch requests will go live on the 1st, and will be done by the end of the month. No real schedule for those since I draw them whenever I have the time.

Workfiles of the previous month will also be posted on the 1st.

New pages of the comic will be published once a month, at the beginning half of the month. Going forward, I'll start working on a new page whenever the month changes and I'll try to get it done before the first week ends. No promises though, one page takes almost a whole week to draw!

As for a third milestone, I'm not entirely sure! I'm thinking of putting it at 2000€/month with the reward being two pages of the comic per month or, gasp, the return of the loser's bracket! The milestone will have to remain quite high, however, since any more extra work on top of my already quite stacked schedule will again compromise my ability to do commissions. I don't expect to hit this milestone in quite a while though, so there's plenty of time to ponder what to do with it hahaa.
