Gwen works at a bookstore that specializes in old mystical and esoteric books. She doesn’t really believe in that sort of thing, but the pay is good, so she doesn’t ask too many questions. Especially about her boss, a mysterious woman who seems to be hiding big secrets—but who makes really good herbal teas!

From time to time, Gwen finds herself doing some rather unusual chores that have nothing to do with working in a bookstore. 

This week, her boss went to a convention on rare books (or something like that) and left Gwen a curious book with a Post-it note on it.

These are the kinds of “extra tasks” mentioned in Gwen’s employment contract. Maybe this simple employment contract hides something even more “occult”!

This is Gwen’s first appearance—a character I hope you’ll like and with whom we’ll be able to explore some fun, whimsical adventures!
