Hi there!

We fixed some bugs in the first part of the game. Special thanks to Tosya, Gabor, and Luxor for their detailed bug reports!

Here's what's new:

Fixes:

Crashing when AudioDriver was not installed - fixed

Critical error within the Elsa route - fixed

Defects on some pictures - fixed

A few typos in the text - fixed

Added some new face expressions for Rapunzel's sprite.

Итак:

Игра падала с ошибкой, если не был установлен AudioDriver - fixed

Критическая ошибка в ветке с Эльзой - fixed

just got the game and i can't seem to find the other partof the spyglass after i purchase the lense from Genie. I've checked the office and library many times slong with the rest of the maps

Part 2 launches fine for me on the Mac but I can't get part 1 to work. I tried following the instructions on the page you linked above but it didn't fix anything. Any other ideas?

Hey I found the issue... follow the video I posted above, but then there is a second file you need to run the same chmod +x command on also called BadManners in the autorun/lib/darwin-x86-64 folder. Now it starts up!

I know this game is old, but it is new to me. I just bought the game from Itch on January 14, 2026. I was sent here to download the chapters 1-6. Well I did download them. Unfortunately, the game does NOT run in Linux as it is supposed too (BM-PartI-1.06release-all). The file that is supposed to run the game is not even executable in Linux. The later game (BM-240-all) does run, but that does not help at all because that does not have chapters 1-6! That version starts with chapter 7. Even trying to run anything earlier than chapter 7 creates a LOT of script errors and a massive traceback.

Hi. The previous build (1.05) might possibly run for you — I haven't heard of it failing for others so far. Due to Patreon's updated restrictions, I had to remove some content from it that no longer complies with their current rules (that's why the newest version 1.06 doesn't have that content anymore), and I can't share the old version publicly. If you're interested in trying it anyway — drop your email here and I'll send you the link privately. No promises though — I can't guarantee it'll work on your setup.

I did get the game running in Wine. That is good enough for now. As for my setup, I have around 500 games running on it. I doubt very much if I would have a problem 😂.

Hi atakdog! Thank you for the error report. On my side (I don't have a real Mac — I only test on a VMware macOS VM) and for many other Mac players, version 1.06 runs normally. BM Part I (1.05/1.06) was built with an older Ren’Py version, and on modern macOS (especially Sonoma/Sequoia + Apple Silicon) it sometimes gets hit hard by Gatekeeper / quarantine restrictions. Since Part II — built on the same Ren’Py version — runs okay for you, this strongly points to macOS treating this particular Part I build more strictly, rather than a general engine or hardware issue. Quick workarounds to try (in this order): • Double-click BadManners.app → when you see the “Apple could not verify…” or “cannot be opened” warning, click Done (or just close it) • Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll down; you should see a section about your app with an Open Anyway button — click it (sometimes you’ll need to confirm with your password or click Open again) • If the button doesn’t appear — open Terminal and run: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine (leave a space at the end!) → then drag the .app file into the Terminal window → press Enter (Alternatively, some people use xattr -cr for the same effect — both usually work.) If none of these work, unfortunately this is a pretty strict macOS limitation on unsigned / non-notarized apps, and without a physical Mac for proper testing and rebuilding I can’t fully bypass it right now.

In Chapter 5 lisa can't be invited after initial conversation to the "office ". Due to that rest of the game is stuck

Have just downloaded both BM104 and 0.95 using the English link in your email but both are the Russian versions of them both, you need to get this fixed quickly

Sred, thanks for your message. It helped me to find out and fix a bug. To get English interface, please, press round button with British flag or download updated BM versions (English is default now). Enjoy the game!

Thank you I noticed the flags after I read your first reply before I read the second felt like a bit of an idiot and laughed at myself when I realised
