lol I can answer this. Yes Abby died. Also Dakota has Abby’s eyes and is haunted by Abby, but that doesn’t mean that Abby is present all the time. It’s like they’re in two separate rooms with an adjoining door, they can both move freely between rooms, but they’re not always in the same room together. When Dakota is doing a lot of her everyday stuff, Abby isn’t actively in her “room”. They can also both close their doors, locking each other in and out. Though Dakota because it’s her body has more control over where they both are in the two rooms.
