EDIT: Gator’s supposed to say TEIFLING not rifling??

Remember when we would do monthly rogue tier drawings before this patreon became full time comics?? Well, it occurred to me that part of the reason a lot of the characters/ships I want to start including for the nsfw oneshots aren’t getting as much love as some of the more beloved ships because you guys never see me drawing any of them!

So, here’s the first wave of getting new stories introduced on this page: Rogue Polls! I make a list of lesser characters and you guys vote on which ones you’d like to see nsfw art of! Sometimes I’ll include ships, sometimes it’ll just be solo. And we’ll start off slow (maybe 1-2 times a month) since I’m still slowly working through old comms. And eventually, if certain characters start to pick up speed, we can introduce them to comic polls again!

I LOVE getting to do comics for Dagkota (and Luciana/Ezra!) but it’s nice to have some variety between those two ships, and I’ve always wanted to give you guys the power to vote for what you’re paying to read, so here’s a nice compromise so I can be a bit more self indulgent with expanding the cast here wink wink

So, let’s start small and see how it goes! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Hey I know how much you and everyone else loves haunting dagger and all of the associated characters but I would really love a poll where if you want to include someone knew they arent an option. I really love and miss your other stories and characters and would really love to see them get more love!

Well yeah, that’s why I made a poll a few months back to ask if people were cool with more stories about side characters or ONLY wanted to see Dagkota; so it’s a double edge sword because that’s the majority vote every time. So, this is the first attempt to try to familiarize people with our other characters and ships! So that I CAN have polls without Dagkota without losing a huge chunk of pledges. I miss them infinitely more than yall even know.

Ah that's so fair I'm really sorry that you're in that situation and you have to risk losing pledges when the content isn't about dagkota. I respect what you gotta do and I'm here for the long haul either way because I adore your art and just wanted to express how much the other guys are missed!!

Chris is trying to be as fair as possible, given that their primary audience is here for one thing. Haunting Dagger. And it is completely fair and fine to want more - more variation, more diversity - but in so being as fair as possible for everyone, voting allows everyone to have an opinion and a voice. And as it goes, the majority wants specific content that has been winning out in the polls. This is as fair as Chris can be without losing a large amount of audience attempting to please what has been shown to be a minority group. Everyone gets a vote. This is the most fair method of determining content. It is not Chris making these unfair, as Chris is giving people what they have also paid into. I’ve been here forever, I am an OG and I’d give my left arm for more varied content because I love everything that Chris makes. But the onus is not on Chris for making the material that appeals to the majority of patrons. This poll is a compromise of what Chris can give to patron members, as it does not involve Dagger or Dakota directly. And there will be more polls such as this in the future, but in making successful work Chris cannot simply drop everything they’ve built their patronage and brand around to cater to every single person who wants something else. Implying that Chris has anything to do with the way the polls go beyond simply giving the options that people are here for is an incorrect assumption.

I'm sorry if I've upset you or Chris that wasn't my intention, I understand Chris isn't in control of the polls and how the results play out. I truly do love everything Chris makes and want to support everything they do. I did not mean for how I expressed interest in it to come across in a way that felt as though I was demanding something else. I really am just here for Chris' art and supporting them above everything else. Again I am sorry if I upset by expressing the previous sentiment, it wasn't my intention to do so.

Chris and myself (and Curtis bless him) can only do so much when it comes to content and workload. Chris is offering a LOT and the content is really just left to the will of the patrons. And yet there is routine and unwarranted backlash about how people want the minority votes in polls to be the winners. That is simply not fair nor feasible. Yes Chris is an artist. Yes Chris as an artist makes consumer products and work. But this is still Chris’ livelihood. This keeps the lights on and his child in school. And because of this fact despite the constant talks about more varied content Chris and I have to acknowledge that the majority audience needs to take priority. We are sorry that there isn’t more variation, but three people are running a very large pony show. There’s a limit on what can be done within reason for us all.

Mags summed it up better than I could, and I can tell that you don’t mean any harm by it, it’s just something we discuss frequently (and I lose a LOT of sleep over, because I WANT to do everything all at once! Lmao) and a few others have been less forgiving about this sentiment, and we always to try to find new ways to be as fair and inclusive as possible while making sure the majority vote is handled as well. This poll was something I started cooking up a few months ago because I saw there was a demand for more variety, and I wanted to see how much of my audience was truly ONLY here for Dagkota - not to discourage myself from working on other characters/ships, but to make a 2024 game plan to 1. Financially prepare for any loss that might occur whenever Dagkota isn’t at the forefront, and 2. Work towards pitching side characters, or other series, to the HD audience so I can win them over too! It’s a lot of convoluted mumbo jumbo, but I think it’s fair to say we’re planning ahead to include more for you guys AND we’re still keeping HD as flagship series to keep everyone happy. Everyday I wake up and long for Lucky!’s return
