After a week straight working to get this thing right, this enormous ship is now sea-worthy! It's based roughly on the dimensions of a real life galleon, with a few tweaks in layout to make it play nice with a grid.

If you're a fan of Assassins Creed: Black Flag, you'll be happy to know that the Jackdaw is also a (loose) galleon! Alternatively, the Black Pearl of Pirates of the Caribbean is also classed as a galleon!

Ok, so I've been playing around with this and your more recent Sailing and Airship assets and I've noticed that the lower deck of the Galleon has two sets of stairs that lead downwards, but there isn't a third deck...

Right you are, haha. I think my intention was that this led to a cargo hold that needed no map (https://tinyurl.com/y2txtg2r). I suppose you could also flip the lower level and repeat the interior floor as many times as you like, too.

quick qestion, in the roll 20 files you got sail 5, which i dont fidn in the pdf, or am i missing something?

2minutetabletop

Ah yes, I considered sail 5 an optional sail, so it got the cut when I had to squeeze everything into the PDF. Its counterpart on page 3 might substitute.

thelibraryghost

Okay, I give up: What are the sails on the third page of the PDF for? They look like they'd be seen straight on, instead of from above, but I can't work out why...

thelibraryghost

Also, does the foreward mast just have smaller versions of sails 2 and 3? If so, what percentage should we print them at?

2minutetabletop

They're in case you want to build it in a more 3D fashion and tape them to kebab sticks or something. I've yet to try it, but it looks great in my head!

2minutetabletop

I feel like 85% is a good scale for the foreward sails.

I don't see where to download the PDF for this. Is there a link I need to follow?

Juha Suni

Same here, can't find a way to download this

2minutetabletop

Sorry Peter! It looks like the ZIP dropped off this post last time I tried to edit it. You should be able to download it again now.

Peter

Sweet thanks!
