Hugh Harman & Rudolf Ising Blu-ray (Patreon)

It has taken several years of collecting, but I’m thrilled to finally have enough high-quality prints of Harman & Ising’s non-WB cartoons to assemble a new Blu-ray set.

This collection will feature 15 cartoons, plus a special bonus educational film produced by Hugh Harman later in his career. (Full list below.)

While these won’t be full frame-by-frame restorations, every film will receive careful stabilization and complete color grading to present the best possible image quality from the available sources. I officially began work on the set this weekend, and I’ll share regular updates as the project progresses.

Release date is still TBD, but I’m excited to bring these neglected Harman & Ising titles back in better quality than they’ve been seen in decades. More details to come! 1934The Old Pioneer (Rudolf Ising; Sept 29, 1934; color & B&W prints)Tale of the Vienna Woods (Hugh Harman; Oct 27, 1934)
