New CB Restoration In the Works (Patreon)

As I documented here, my original restoration of this film was quite a task. The 16mm print I possessed had turned red, but was mostly recoverable. I ended up blending that print with another print that had most of the green faded, but was otherwise vibrant.

In that time, I gained access to a few more prints: an 8mm (released earlier this year) and two 16mm scans (both from Jerico Dvorak). One scan in particular is quite good.

I have already finished the cleaning phase, and I am working on the color grading.

I don't have a timeline yet of when I'll be finish, but below you can see some comparisons of the newer restoration (left image) compared to the 2021 restoration (right image).

Note: color grading isn't final. I recreated the title cards for the 2021 restoration, hence the vibrance.
