Hey folks!

Work on the Prince of Persia conclusion is coming along. I hope you guys liked the first half!

I've been re-reading Frank Miller's Sin City anthology. It's aged very well. The movie was one of my favs of the 2000s. I used to work at a movie rental when it came out and the trailer used to play all the time in the store.

It's still a banger of a movie trailer! When the music kicks in . . . ooof! 👌

As you can tell from my body of works, one of my go-to erotic themes is age gap. And That Yellow Bastard had one of the best setups in mainstream comics! You can tell Frank Miller's got the same itch and probably wanted to have Hartigan and Nancy go all the way, but just couldn't quite get it done in the mainstream.

But I certainly can! 😈

I think this might make for a sweet short comic in the future. 😉

For now, it was just a sweet creative experiment with noir lighting and effects. Also, creating my version of Nancy was def fun! 😋

Check out the movie if you've never seen it. Bruce Willis playing Hartigan has to be one of the best casting choices. It's especially poignant since he's got advanced dementia now. He's one of the greats! ✊

Also, I'll take a moment to plug my website. It's available to all my patrons and acts as a backup in case my Patreon ever goes down or I get banned. So please bookmark it.

Cheers, folks! See you guys in a few days for a Prince of Persia preview!

Amazing as always ! I LOVE Sin City. The cast for Marv is also spot on with Mickey Rourke

Thanks, man! Yeah, it's a great anthology! Very true about Marv/Mickey Rourke. That role revived his career.

Nah, wasn't for me. Eva Green was fine, but that movie wasn't very memorable. Other than "A Dame to Kill For", it just felt like fluff and sloppy seconds. Frank Miller is so hit or miss with his works.

Tulrek

That was a bold move from Jessica Alba to play that sexy as hell role, so young in her career !

Turek, I guess you don't know she had been acting since 1994, and was seen on the big and on the little screen in far more sexy ways, long before she did Sin City in 2005.

dashole

Yeah, Jessica Alba was pretty hot, but I think she actually took the least risk compared to Jaime King and Carla Gugino - who both had amazing nude scenes. Nancy's role was the one that required the most nudity and Alba wouldn't do it. I would've cast someone else, but I guess they figured her name had the most draw power. But yeah, overall I was very happy with the casting and the movie.

Now this I wanna read

Haha! It's definitely on my list of short comics. Going forward I'm going to lean more on doing shorter, punchier comics! 😄

For me, the best story about an age gap is that of Alice and Seymour. It's very funny to see how Alice confesses that, when it comes to Seymour, Alice's heart is the one that rules, and how Alice took over the old man. The sad thing is that Seymour will die.

The casting people did a wonderful job, except with Jessica Alba. Every other actor is (nearly) spot on, and carries their role very well. As far as the draw power, Mickey Roarke came out of Once Upon a Time in Mexico (R. Rodriguez) and Man On Fire (T. Scott), Clive Owen came out of King Arthur (A. Fuqua) and Closer (M. Nichols), and Bruce Willis is well, Bruce Willis. Imho, those 3 together had more draw power than Jessica Alba... unless offcourse you assume she will play Nancy as portrayed in the comics... Just my 2 cents. Btw, I absolutely love your take on it, and wish there was more

Thanks, man! I agree - the star power in that movie was absolutely great at the time! I actually liked Clive Owen the best for some reason - probably because I love his character Dwight.
