*2023 cosplan update! (Patreon)

I just noticed that this says 2022 and I am not going to fix it. ANYWAY, here is an updated look at the current characters bouncing around in my head, and a breakdown on where I’m at with each. I’ll continue to share progress photos in the Discord, as I never really feel like it’s worth dedicating a whole album to on here.

The main reason I have no tangible progress to show on any of these yet is that I am trying to get all of them finished at basically the same time, and the reason for that is that I am hoping to go blonde again in April, so I’m crashing through all of my remaining brunette cosplay goals while I can still use my own hair. So here goes!

1. Enid Sinclair (Wednesday) - this obviously won’t use my own hair, but I have to have it done for ECCC which is in barely over a month. I’m buying most of the pieces for this. So far I have the leggings, the shoes, and the scarf. I have a skirt that needs to be dyed pink, and a base wig that needs to be colored and styled. I have ordered leg warmers. Still needs a sweater, jacket, and nail polish, but I don’t plan to shoot it until ECCC or after, so I have some time.

2. Wednesday’s Rave’n dress - I ordered a base dress on Amazon that I will be taking in and adding more ruffles to. I also need to make a belt. I’m hoping to do a shoot at a rain room in it. I guess I also still need clip-in bangs for this.

3. Carol Danvers - Aaron put together a Silver Age Marvel group for WonderCon, and I’m doing Carol. This also doesn’t use my own hair and probably had until the end of March, but I want to recreate this Marvel Valentine’s pin I saw, so I’m putting a rush on it. I have the fabrics but have not started patterning. I need boots and a wig.

4. Vex’ahlia (the Legend of Vox Machina) - I haven’t even decided on a design I’m gonna do yet, but Aaron is doing Percy so obviously I’m gonna do Vex. Aiming for the first weekend of Ren Faire in April. This show is very good, I don’t listen to Critical Role but I highly recommend the animated series if you haven’t seen it. A lot like Invincible.

5. Geonosis Padme - I’ll only do this if I have extra time after finishing everything else. I got rid of the last bodysuit I used for my Padme Disneybound, and I have a ton of gorgeous fabric I’ve been saving to make a proper Padme shirt (or two), so it shouldn’t really cost me anything, I just have to see if anyone has a pattern or tutorial for those weird seams.

6. MCU inspired Kitty Pryde - this is the one I’m probably the furthest on, and that’s mostly because I have the entire black base suit done because I’m using my stunning Black Widow costume. It’s got all of the sectioning/detailing/piping I’m looking for in a “fancier” Kitty costume, but none of the time spent designing something myself. I bought yellow leather that matches Aaron’s Cyclops, and spent the past week patterning the yellow piece that will go over the black base suit. I’m making my own gloves for this so everything matches, and that’s the worst part of anything else on this list.

7. Star Lord Kitty - I got a jacket for this from Leather Fashion Valley over a year ago, and they just messed up a lot of the sizing so I have to tailor it and I’ve been putting that off because my machine can’t handle leather. I’m pushing myself to do it before I go blonde.

8. 80s Kitty - idk what to tell you, I’m literally obsessed with her. Same as Padme, I’ll only do this if I’m not, like, completely broke at the end of this. This is probably my favorite Kitty costume because of how much I love 80s fashion, and I think I could knock it out pretty quickly.
