I used Grok a bit more.

It’s super convenient for simple use without specific instructions, but getting the exact results I want is still tough.

Still, it’s amazing and kind of scary that someone like me, with no animation skills, can create these results. Haha.

I wasn't able to create the animation I wanted, but it's incredible that I was able to do this without any technical skills. Haha...

I'll have to keep this in mind when I draw my work in the future. Haha...

It's still a bit of a hassle because I have to input the prompts manually, but I think it would be fun to study it myself, share it with supporters, and then animate together.

But as expected, AI is scary... Haha...

Thank you! Have a nice day.

P.S. Just in case, I have no plans to include AI-powered work in the content set.

I was just shocked. Haha...

-------------------------------------

Hello. dear my supporters.

This isn't a work upload. Haha.. Sorry. I just wanted to share something I found funny. Haha..

GrokAI seems to be getting a lot of attention these days, so I tried it out. Haha.. It's really fun. Haha..

The size and quality aren’t great because it’s for uploading, but isn’t the result amazing? Hahaha…

It even creates all the angles I didn’t draw myself. Hahaha… I’m not sure how to feel about it. Hahaha.

I added a bit of prompt to the Lauma I drew recently, and it turned out absolutely amazing. Hahahahaha.Haha… I guess from now on, I should draw my works in a way that makes them easier to use with AI. Hahaha…

I’m not even sure if I’ll still be able to draw next year. Haha…

I’ve been thinking about this since around two years ago —instead of studying and practicing to draw better, maybe I should be studying prompts instead. It feels like that thought is becoming reality now.I’m not sure if there will still be a place for LIMGAE in this changing world.

Thank you. Have a nice day

There will always be a place for Limgae in the world, it's cool you can a still image to a gif, but i still dont see AI being useful, rather find it annoying how they're pushing it into everything

As a supporter of AI (though not a supporter of how it is shoved into everything), I believe it is becoming a valuable tool for creative expression. However, it requires human artists for it to continue improving. Anyone who loves art and AI should ensure they are supporting human artists. I have supported you for years because you are an amazing artist and I will continue to support you because of that. In addition to that, now I also support you because you are part of how AI will improve in the future. The companies that make these AI models cannot legally acknowledge the part of artists like you, but I do. I love your art and feel the world will lose something without your art in it.

LIMGAE

Haha, thank you for the encouragement. But the reality for LIMGAE feels cold. Haha... The AI technology itself isn’t the problem, but the speed of its development is frightening. I thought it would take at least two more years before AI technology became simple and accessible for everyone. But it feels like the singularity might come next year. Haha... I have no idea what will happen to ordinary artists like me. Haha.😂

LIMGAE

I don’t have any bad feelings about AI technology. I think no one can stop the progress of technology, so I was trying to accept it. Haha… But the speed of AI development is scary. It keeps moving to the next step before people can adapt and prepare. Someday it will reach an end, but I don’t know if people will be able to handle it. Unfortunately, LIMGAE is slowly being forgotten in the world. I try to struggle and survive, but nothing is going well. Haha… It’s sad, but this is the reality for LIMGAE. People are losing interest in LIMGAE more and more. I will try my best to resist and hold on, but it doesn’t look easy. And now I also have to face AI technology. AI work doesn’t affect top-tier artists much, but I realized it can be fatal for ordinary artists like me. Honestly, I feel lost about how to handle this situation. Haha… It’s not easy. I want to see some hope, but I don’t. I will try my best as much as I can. Haha… I’m sorry to say such negative things. Haha… But I guess I need to see reality clearly too. Thank you for supporting and encouraging me. I will do my best.

AI truly is a gift that keeps on giving. To think back like 2-3 years, where it was mainly used for fun with how "unpractical" it still was, nowadays it is not only helpful in many ways, it may also be a curse and causing more harm than you can imagine. AI-Art still isn't exactly my kind of forte to say the least. I mean, i do acknowledge it and by all means, you may actually be able to find something "good" albeit very rare, since most isn't even distinguishable from being different if it wasn't for a different style. I personally dont see any issue if you ever consider using AI as a helpful tool though (if that hasn't happened already that is lol), but i dont get the feeling off, you stay an honest artist and draw your pieces like god intended :P And also, being forgotten isn't so simple. You only live for as long people remember you after all. Even when AI or other artist may stomp you, LIMGAE as an artist will always have a special place in my heart. How can one say "no" to LIMGAEs superb artstyle? Sorry for the babbling. I feel like fancy words aren't well received by you much, but just a little bit of appreciation sometimes does work wonders. Keep cooking, king!👑

The artist scene is already saturated. So many artists upload their work every day, and since AI came along, it’s become really overcrowded. Haha. These days, when I look for references, I have to first figure out if it’s AI work. Haha. Most stuff out there now seems to be AI-generated. It’s not easy. Before, regular people needed to study a bit to use AI, but soon, there will be AI tools that anyone can use easily. Haha. I tried Grok for the first time today, and it was really simple to use. With just a bit more prompt practice, I could make even better results. The world is changing fast. But LIMGAE is still stuck in place. Haha. I don’t know where to go from here. For now, I guess I need to finish my work quickly. Haha. I need to find some energy, but it’s not easy. Thanks.

I’ve always seen AI as a tool for an artist and nothing more. People probably said the same about digital art when it first appeared, but the real art comes from the person themselves. Besides, generative AI is mid at best for art. Very artist has a style that most clankers can’t reproduce.

Antifaith

You're only able to get such great results because you're an artist, the "art" ai models produce from scratch is garbage but I use ai for image editing all the time, it just saves time

Loddies

As everyone says, AI is just a tool or software. It will never become or replace artists. Without talented artists like you, AI would be utterly worthless in artistic creation.

I am personally not a person who likes how AI has been used in creative spaces at all. Its mass proliferation and advancement, as well as the things it has been using to train to do what it does, are done in horribly unethical ways, scraping the art created by people like you who actually work hard and express their creativity and then regurgitated on the internet like vomit. It will never understand shading, or color palettes, or anatomy, or the capturing of movement with distortion. Frame rate. Proportionality. It just copies copies copies and it never asks. It's plagiarism on a ludicrous scale. The development of AI is scary but there's still lots of pushback, and it will never compare to what humans can do until we reach a point where the AI itself could be considered "alive", at which point it will be a completely different ethics problem regarding digital slavery. AI just takes what artists have done and reproduces it with an algorithm. There's no creative vision or artistic understanding and you can tell. I will never approve of AI being used in this way. Its mass adoption is undermining the intelligence, creativity, and agency of the people who use it, both academically and creatively, as they become lazy and use it as a crutch to do things that they decided they do not want to put in the effort to learn how to do. It will mentally neuter us and further harm our skilled labor pool. You see it in schools, we're literally getting dumber the more people use AI to do their assignments for them. I'm not completely against AI as a tool but I think it's been horribly misapplied with little regulation to things that don't make any sense and it's cluttered the internet with junk; garbage art is everywhere, like you said, and social media is more of a landfill than ever, full of complete garbage nonsense written by AI, in the worst cases serving as propaganda by fake accounts pretending to be real people in order to stoke anger and create friction in online spaces. AI art can't even exist without real artists because all it does is steal. I hate the way AI has been used. And I hate what it has done to artists. A youtube video had a sarcastic comment about this that I like a lot that went something like "Luckily for us society is so advanced that we've created the perfect balance, where manual labour and toiling in lithium mines will be performed by humans, and entertainment, art, and music will be automatically generated by computers." Like...isn't that messed up? It's so backwards. You'd think that we'd have more artists and an explosion of expression with technology taking some of the burden on jobs that are necessary but require little to no actual thought or effort beyond the tedium of performing the task. I share Miyazaki's disgust with the attitude regarding this technology. Anyway, this isn't a criticism of your experiment. I don't blame any artist for looking at the demon that's been hounding at their livelihood, with many things it helps to understand the problems that plague you. I just don't think this is a good direction to take, personally. I know you have to think about your future and you're probably wondering if your hand has been forced, but I personally don't think so. I can tell with a reasonable amount of certainty and consistency when something is AI and it always looks worse than the real thing, and a lot of people like me want to support artists like you who have actually put the time and effort in to share their creative vision with the world.

LIMGAE

My thoughts are similar to yours. I said I don’t have bad feelings toward AI technology, but to be honest, it’s more like I gave up because having emotions about it won’t change anything. Haha… To be more exact, I actually don’t like AI. Haha. But since we can’t stop the flow of time, I’m just trying to accept it. Recently, many people have been talking about Grok’s features, and when I saw the Grok’s results on the community sites, I couldn’t believe them. So I checked it myself. The quality and detail of AI-generated works are already at a level that ordinary people can hardly tell apart. These days, around 80–90% of pictures uploaded online are AI works. Haha… it’s sad. I just wanted to share my shock about this “Grok situation” with my supporters. Haha. Lately, I’ve been mentally exhausted, very depressed and sad, but the shock from AI almost made me feel nothing at all. Haha… Actually, the problem of AI in art is not the biggest issue. I heard programming, office jobs, and video production have been hit even harder by AI technology. I don’t know what will happen next. At times like this, I guess I should just focus on what I can do. I’ll keep drawing as much as I can, though maybe I don’t have much time left. Haha… my situation isn’t very good. Anyway, I’ll do my best. Thank you for your opinions and advice.

AI technology is gradually developing to become easier for the general public to use. (Example: Ghibli incident...) I don't know where AI technology will go in the future or what the future holds. One thing's for sure: it's of no benefit to LIMGAE at the moment. Hahaha. LIMGAE's current status as an artist is in danger if he's hit by even the weakest punch from AI art. Haha. I can't think of a way to overcome this crisis. Haha. The only way is to just draw. Honestly, that's not a good idea either. I need to do something, but I don't know how to do it, and I can't do it. It's sad. Anyway, I guess I'll just have to draw... Haha... Thank you.

LIMGAE

Unfortunately, the reality of LIMGAE is different. It's not that AI art made LIMGAE bad, but it did have a slight impact. Haha... I just wanted to talk about Grok's features because they were so shocking to me. Even without AI, there are many elements in reality that are trying to kill LIMGAE. Hahaha. It won't be easy.. Still, I'll do my best. Thank you. When people teach AI art, they probably don't learn LIMGAE's art because it's not well-known. Haha! I think it's beneficial for me.

LIMGAE

I think starting next year, anyone will be able to create works using AI without even having to study prompts. The pace of development is so fast, it's unpredictable. Haha... Anyway, using Grok this time seems to have broadened my perspective on the world. Haha... I'll do my best. Thank you.

Justin

Personally I don't find this all that mind blowing. This is something that already exists and has been implemented better (live2D) the process is just a bit more involved. Obviously your work is so hi-fidelity that hand animating it would be very time consuming so I can understand the fascination. Since everyone else has already touched on the nuances of using AI for art I will say that it would be much more interesting if you drew Grok's Ani than Grok drawing something of yours. 🤔
