Katara, the library, Earth Kingdom

Daeron was quite relaxed, Katara was finishing the meal, while Toph was talking to her about the future

"Your children with Jon will be powerful water benders, worthy princes of the North," Toph said with a loud laugh

Katara just blushed, the idea sounded... Too good to be true

"I'm sure Jon will be an excellent father, although that won't happen for many years, you know perfectly well that the issue of Princess Yue and Princess Lyanna are too painful for him, I don’t think that pain will go away" Katara remembered her friend calmly

Toph simply nodded and replied

“I understand, and the last thing I want is to harm him, to be with him is... impossible to explain, I don't mind being feminine to please him, and even so, Jon doesn't demand it of me, he respects my strength and my strong character, it's quite liberating” confessed Toph with a soft voice, opening up to who would surely be his sister wife in the near future

Katara simply nodded, fully understanding what Toph meant, just as Jon returned, carrying several scrolls

"This place is a jewel of knowledge, listen to this, spiritual steel forging technique," Jon said, really curious, while Katara began to serve dinner

As usual, serving Jon first

Toph walked over to Jon and sat down next to him, stroking his arm gently

“Sounds interesting, what does it say?” asked the maiden

Jon thanked Katara, and replied to Toph

"It is a steel with spiritual properties, capable of cleansing even the most impure of waters and capable of making even the most eroded earth bloom, forging it requires the participation of four elemental masters, one for each element," said Jon

Katara and Toph looked at each other in wonder at those words, however, a deep voice interrupted the conversation

"However, spirit steel can also be used to destroy forests and pollute waters, a tool too powerful for humans to have, at least at the moment"

Jon, Toph, and Katara quickly joined, all preparing to fight, Katara and Toph taking up defensive positions

While Jon drew his sword, Katara had seen Longclaw hundreds of times, it was a beautiful sword, with a white steel blade and blue steel hilt and black leather, with the beautiful image of a carved white wolf, a masterpiece

However, in the presence of the spirit, the blade shone with a magnificent radiance, which, for some reason, kept the imposing spirit being looking suspiciously

"The powerful Longclaw, spirit slayer, having her in front of me, I can understand how you were able to end the existence of the Deep one"

“What are your intentions with me and my friends spirit?” Jon asked respectfully, however, the tone he used was severe, without showing a single hint of fear

The imposing being only turned his head, at the same time that, from one of the corridors of the library, Sokka ran towards them, relief more than evident on his face

“Guys!” shouted, as he ran, evidently exhausted,

However, Katara was totally focused on the spirit's imposing vision, who, in turn, was totally focused on Jon

“Do you enter my library with such arrogance, as if you were walking through your own house and when I present myself to you, you have the total effrontery to threaten me?” asked the spirit, obviously indignant, his body increased in size, the neck lengthened and the spirit, evidently, was preparing to attack

Jon, far from being intimidated, simply grabbed his sword more firmly, the sword's brilliance increasing in intensity

"I know very well the nature of the spiritual world, you call this place your own, but the knowledge within it does not belong to you, you are a simple guardian, nothing more and nothing less," Jon said firmly and determinedly, not willing to give in for an instant

Katara watched with a lot of fear as Jon's words, for a moment, seemed to make the spirit even angrier, ruffling his feathers and staring at Jon

However, everything changed in an instant, the spirit returned to its original form, and he looked at Jon with something close to approval in his eyes

"That's fair, my name is Wan Shi Tong, guardian of the sacred spiritual library, the place where all the knowledge of the universe is guarded from the relentless advance of time," the spirit exclaimed, opening its wings dramatically

Jon lowered his sword, without sheathing it, and responded with amusement

"Arrogant of you, to consider that there is nothing unknown outside these walls, there are poems that have not been written, songs that have not been composed, empires that have not been born," Jon counters calmly, calling the attention of the now curious spirit

"Your mind is as sharp as that sword of yours, a good omen, for the elemental empire that will be born in a few years," said the spirit, evidently pleased

Jon, feeling no danger, simply sheathed his sword

"With the exception of the Deep One, all the spirits I've ever met are wise and funny, if a little crazy," Jon said, remembering Agni's daughter and her terrifying training

And apparently, the bookstore keeper found Jon's answer hilarious

"Your soul and spirit are powerful Herald of the Sun, consort of the Moon, it is not a surprise that your presence disturbs the spirit of order so much, you are chaos personified, however, many times that chaos is necessary to move forward and the four nations have been stuck for a long, long time," said the spirit

Jon was silent, and said

"My name is Daeron Targaryen, chosen of Agni, spirit of the sun, Consort of Yue and Father of Lyanna, spirits of the Moons, Lord of the Oceans, King and protector of Agna Qel'a," said the young master, bowing respectfully towards the imposing being

Who, with elegance, replied

"My name is Wan Shi Tong and your presence, as well as that of your friends is... convenient, I can guide you easily to the most interesting parts of the place, in exchange for a small favor," said the spirit shrewdly

Jon just raised an eyebrow and said

"I know you are not lacking in strength; however, you have touched my curiosity, what do you need?" Jon asked with interest

Wan Shi Tong didn't answer, he just walked a specific corridor

"I'll show you, follow me, alone," he ordered, without looking back

Jon looked at his girls and Sokka, who looked worried

"Don't worry, it's not the first time I've dealt with spirits, everything will be fine, guard the camp and wait for Aang," Jon ordered, making the three of them nod gently and without wasting time, he followed the elusive guardian spirit

Jon had a good feeling, something inside him seemed... satisfied with the meeting between Wan Shi Tong and the

And he was not wrong

Avatar Aang, The library, Earth Kingdom

Aang was lost, there was no doubt

He had long since separated from Sokka, and no matter how hard he tried to return, he always came back to the same place, to this circular hall

It was as if the bookstore itself was alive in a sense

Something that didn't sound so crazy, to be honest, in the spiritual world things worked differently

But then what did this place want to show you?

To clear his head, Aang began to check the huge shelves, they were old in the extreme, to the point that the young Avatar feared that, if he touched them, they would turn to dust

However, one shelf in particular caught his eye

-Air bending, earthly and spiritual freedom-

Aang watched in amazement and a sad smile as this shelf was filled with scrolls about the creation of temples, the unification of cardinal clans, and the birth of nomads as a society

Something that, although interesting, was now completely useless, considering that there were no more nomadic airs

However, one scroll in particular caught his attention, it was kept in a wooden box, with the symbol of a coiled white dragon, biting its own tail

"The teachings of Avatar Wan," Aang read to himself with emotion

He didn't recognize the name, but something inside of it just... resonated with that name, Aang knew that this Wan was someone important, he just didn't know the reason

Calmly, Aang took the box in his hands and prepared to open it to read what it contained

However, the moment Aang's hands touched the scroll in question, his senses were completely overwhelmed, the bookstore disappeared hidden in a dense fog, to give way to a simple stone platform, totally empty, with the exception of a mural carved on a rock

Calmly and curiously, Aang walked towards him, observing each and every minute visible detail

The mural was beautiful, a work of art, two twin dragons, one white and one red, both fierce and powerful, equal in power, and in the center, a huge tree without a single leaf among its branches

It was huge, at least ten meters high and... scary to some extent

"Impressive, isn't it?" said a powerful voice behind him

Aang turned quickly, to find the image of the avatar Roku, however, the amber and warm eyes so characteristic of his predecessor were not present, but two powerful blue stars, a symbol that he was not only talking to Roku

But with all the avatars at the same time

"I don't quite understand the meaning, but it's a work of art," confessed Aang, altering his gaze between the mural and "Roku"

“Who are you? I know very well that you are not Roku," Aang said respectfully, but with a firm tone, obtained from spending too much time with Jon

"Roku" didn't answer, he just walked calmly towards the imposing mural, looking at him calmly, his face almost... melancholic, for lack of a better adjective

“When you see this mural, what do you feel Aang?” asked the old man, without looking at the little monk

The avatar frowned, but looked at the mural again

"Power, knowledge, this mural is important, I'm sure it relates some past event, important enough to be carved in Rock and hidden in the spiritual world," confessed the bald monk

"Roku" nodded calmly and looked at Aang

“The world is changing, the four nations are not in balance, the presence of the anomaly, his power empowers the spirits as not seen since the convergence, now two Moons adorn the night skies, Agni's embrace during the day is warmer and more gallant, sky bisons are born under the protection of the Northerners”

Aang frowned and replied

“Change is not bad, many times it is necessary, without Jon's presence, the skies of the world would be empty, without bison that could fly freely, without Jon, there would not be two Moons that nourish the waters like never before, without Jon, the Fire Nation would continue to sow chaos, the coalition is a product of his presence,  a real chance for the war to end and harmony to return," Aang gallantly defended whom he considered a brother

"Roku" didn't answer, he just nodded softly

"Perhaps, however, the four nations as you know them will change completely, I have seen the end of the road, fire, air, water and Earth, they all submit to the white dragon, a government, an empire" said Roku looking directly at Aang

The young man frowned, and with fury in his voice asked

“Who are you?”

"Roku" didn't answer, however, everything around the strange place began to tremble, distracting Aang

"And again, intruding," said the ancient avatar with a frown, before looking at the bald monk

"Sooner or later you will understand, Daeron Targaryen is a danger, an outsider, an agent of chaos that threatens the stability of this world" said "Roku" before simply disappearing wrapped in a dense cloud and making a bewildered avatar return to the library, the box that previously contained the scroll was now empty

Leaving Aang with more questions than answers

Daeron Targaryen, the library, the secret Ocean, half an hour before

Daeron walked silently behind the spirit, there was no need to speak, at least not for the moment, Jon's thoughts were loud enough

Several minutes later, Jon left the huge shelves of the bookstore behind to make way for a huge corridor, a kind of bridge, although for some reason, there was no water anywhere

"It is here," said the spirit, as he passed through a huge door, which led to the outside

However, while Jon didn't expect to see the desert, nothing could prepare him for what he saw

A huge ocean, the one he had felt over the desert, the breeze hit his face with a pleasant sensation, however, something left the young water bender dumbfounded

The ocean was upside down! Where Heaven should be, while...

Daemon looked down, observing that, indeed, where the ocean should be, the sky was located, it was beautiful with huge fluffy clouds

“What the hell is going on?” Daeron asked aloud, dumbfounded

and Wan Shi Tong responded

“This... was the result of a desperate act by Lord Tui and Lady La, thousands of years ago, long before the age of the avatar, the spirit whom you called the deep one, besieged this library, greedy for its knowledge and subduing the weak minds of lesser spirits, desired the forbidden knowledge, the one that the elder spirits entrusted to me,  knowledge... that brought you into this world," said Wan Shi Tong, as he spread his wings, pointing to the magnificent scenery

"The library, formerly located in the human world, was swallowed up by the ocean and hidden in the spiritual world, far from the reach of the putrid being, where it would remain until the end of its days, however... the Deep One is no more, executed by you, so the measures implemented are no longer necessary," said the spirit, before focusing its gaze back on Daeron

"You are extremely powerful, the essence of the Moon itself is in you, you are a physical extension of its power, you are its avatar, in the same way that the bald little one is for Raava," said the being, staring at Jon

Jon had no idea who the hell Raava was, but that was an ancient and imposing name

A powerful name, for a spirit to match, obviously

"What do you want from me?" - Daeron asked seriously

The Spirit opened his wings and said

"You have emerged into the lost ocean, fill the unforgiving desert with life again, and be the herald who will allow my library to shine again under the blessing of Agni, the warmth of Yue and the curiosity of Lyanna, for eons to come, throw yourself into this untamed sea and command its waters to obey your will, lord of the oceans," Wan Shi Tong formally requested,  overwhelming Jon in the face of such a colossal proposal

Jon looked at the horizon, the ocean was alive and gallant, evidently wanting to emerge, all that was needed was that little push, to weaken the barrier enough for the relentless sands of the desert to give way to the indomitable force of the tides

Jon knew that he had more than enough power for this titanic task, however, before accepting, he looked seriously at the spirit and asked

“What will I get in exchange for fulfilling your wish?” asked the northern monarch

Wan Shi Tong looked at him calmly, in total silence for a long time, until, in a soft voice, he whispered

"Full access to the entire library, even the rooms I keep away from curious explorers, including my private collection," said the spirit, staring at Daeron

Faced with such a promise, the young king knew perfectly well what his response would be, after all, this being had accumulated knowledge for an entire era, having access to his private collection was simply an opportunity that he could not refuse

So, Daeron nodded, closing the deal with the spirit and wasting no time "diving" into the ocean

A strange sensation, since, although he was "falling" his body rose, instead of descending

Daeron watched as the ocean grew closer and closer, at the same time as two voices began to gain strength

“My love...”

“Papa!”

And just as Daeron's face touched the water, both the spirit and human worlds would never be the same again

The Age of the Four Nations Was Coming to an End

And the Age of Unification was about to begin

Under the rule of the Dragon of the North

On ji, Fire Nation Village, far from Caldera City

"I appreciate your time," said the beautiful and polite young woman, bowing to the old woman, who simply laughed

"Don't worry dear, say hello to your parents on my behalf," she said, before closing the door again, and leaving On ji alone

Seeing that she had no company, the young woman sighed heavily and began to walk towards her home, it was a somewhat long distance, so it was likely that night would catch up with her

Things in the village were... Routine, school was boring, although lessons had changed lately, no matter how hard teachers tried, it was impossible to try to hide the truth

The Fire Nation was on the brink of civil war, those who supported the Fire Lord, who were usually merchant and political families, and the common people, who increasingly questioned Ozai's right to rule

After all, the nation based much of its culture on honor, and there was nothing less honorable than sending troops to die like animals, without a real strategy

On ji knew, and she had no idea about military tactics

The shadow of the white wolf had fallen on the fire nation like a hammer, the news arrived, each one more worrying than the last

The North had changed, the new supreme commander of Agna Qel'a had conquered and destroyed one of the most important colonies, as well as having sunk not one but two entire fleets

The rumors in the village were increasing... They talked about how the White Wolf was more beast than man, that he was half fish or that all the animals in the ocean obeyed him

However, everyone agreed on one thing, the White Wolf was dangerous and even worse

He was a fire bender, causing even more trouble, after all, according to the laws of the Fire Nation, if the white wolf was a fire bender, he had the right to challenge the Fire Lord for the throne

And apparently, Ozai was willing to do anything, except to face the Lord of the North in the open field, causing even more discontent among the citizens and the more traditionalist of the nobles

However, On Ji's introspection stopped as he saw how the sunset in the sky disappeared for an instant, at the same time that strange colored lights, similar to those of a few months ago, were seen all over the place

However, these were evidently different, just by looking at them, On Ji felt... something inside her, which was in lethargy, awakened from a long sleep, though she was not able to define with certainty what it was

Being alone, she did not notice that her brown eyes, for an instant, changed color

To a grayish steel one, characteristic of a particular nation, and much less did she suspect that her destiny would take her farther than this simple village

As the future grand matriarch of the new Kingdom of the Air
