Oh she had forgotten how imposing Harry's presence felt

The sorcerer supreme levitated calmly and in total control of the situation, and within seconds, he had defeated the annoying being that always gave Clark trouble

"Who the hell is that imbecile?" Bane blurted out, at the same time as he forgot about Batman for a second

Diana looked at the criminal with a frown, however, to her surprise, it was Circe who responded

"Silence idiot, the last thing we want is to get that man's attention" with a furious whisper, looking at Bane as if he were the greatest of stupid people

"Bah, he doesn't look that rough," the criminal snapped, as he took two steps forward and opened his arms to where Harry was in defiance

“HEY YOU!” he shouted, the challenge more than evident in his voice

“Shit” said Circe disappearing in the act, leaving an amused Wonder woman  

However, the sorcerer supreme did not pay him the slightest shred of attention, his relentless gaze continued to scan the surroundings of the city, evidently looking for something

"I'M TALKING TO YOU, IMBECILE!" Bane shouted, offended at being totally ignored and, in a fit of anger and stupidity, he took a car from the city and threw it towards the sorcerer supreme

The car flew towards Harry, only to be stopped with a slight flick of the wrist, stopping the imposing projectile completely, with complete ease

Diana watched as Harry looked at Bane with obvious annoyance at the interruption and without saying a single word, he pointed his finger at the surprised criminal, returning the car, throwing it ten times faster than before

"SHIT..." said Bane, who was not able to dodge the projectile, receiving the entire blow and being thrown like a rag towards a destroyed building, the impact was so powerful that a sonic boom spread through the city

Everyone present, both heroes and criminals, watched the action in amazement, but not Diana, Bane was extremely resilient, only Clark and she had the strength to take him down in one blow, but her Harry played in different leagues, her beloved sorcerer could conquer the planet if he wanted

Diana's thoughts were interrupted by a roar from Bane, who emerged from the rubble with his damaged body, but repairing quickly, something never seen before in the criminal

The wounds and bruises began to heal aided by a blue glow, evidently magical in nature

“HAHAHA, IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE?” provoked the criminal, feeling untouchable

However, Diana observed something unusual

All of Harry's attention was focused on the poor fool

Instantly, Harry teleported from his place in the sky to where the arrogant criminal stood, staring at him as if he were a lab rat, inspecting him with clinical precision

"Interesting," he said, focused on the magic in Bane's body

The criminal, feeling more powerful than ever gave a cry of fury, as he tried to move his arms to catch the arrogant man and tear him to pieces

Diana just shook her head, knowing full well what would happen now

The sorcerer supreme waved his hand, a gesture of indifference as he focused his attention on the magic on Bane's body, causing that magical rock arms to emerge from the ground, trapping the arms and legs of the shocked criminal

"AHHHHG" shouted Bane, while his hands were totally useless, he tried to free himself with all his strength, however, the hands only shone with a golden glow and exerted even more force on Bane's body

For the first time in a long time, Bane felt totally helpless

“What is this?” he shouted, his voice full of fury, although Diana listened with amusement to something else

Fear

"Silence dog," Harry ordered, silencing Bane with a flick of his wrist, as his hands moved his body in all directions

"Interesting, a factor of cell regeneration, a ritual apparently, either you are very brave or very stupid," Harry said, while using his hand to damage Bane's body, generating a huge cut on his chest

"AAAAHHHHH," the criminal shouted, feeling an unusual agony in his body, while the magic slowly repaired his body

As soon as the arcane threads appeared in Bane's body, Harry acted quickly, analyzing and studying it

"Oh Giovanni, you cunning bastard," Harry said with amusement, laughing softly

At these words, Zatanna turned her full attention to the supreme sorcerer and asked

"My Lord? Did you mention my father?” The sorceress's face denoted concern for her father's condition 

"We'll talk about it later," Harry said, snapping his fingers and making a wand appear in his hand

A familiar object for Diana, the feeling of divinity more than familiar to the princess of Themycira

And then, Harry placed the tip on Bane's chest

"This will hurt, but I'm almost certain that your body will be able to withstand the purification, or not, I'm not really interested," said the sorcerer supreme, at the same time that the wand began to glow with a white ethereal light, which began to spread through Bane's mutated veins

And then, Bane simply screamed, his face hidden under his mask contorted in utter agony

"What the hell is going on?" asked the bat appearing next to a surprised Diana, who looked at Bruce with surprise in her face

The bat, being able to understand the question in Diana’s face, answered

"Deathstroke disappeared as soon as he saw your boyfriend, he seemed really terrified of him, something I had never seen in Slade," Bruce said, watching with a frown as the white light spread over Bane's body, which began to shrink slowly, the criminal's mouth was open, while a green smoke began to emanate from inside

Diana turned her gaze back to her man and replied

"It's a purification spell, Harry is forcing Bane's cells to expel the poison, it's a white magic spell, a powerful one," said the Amazon

Bruce frowned and asked cautiously

“But isn't white magic good? Why is he shouting like that?” the doubt was sincere, after all, Bane's screams of agony denoted anything but kindness

"It is, if Harry did the purification spell on you or me we would feel a soft tingle or a wave of calm, however, Bane is a corrupt being, white magic detests those beings and punishes them severely" said Zatanna approaching Bruce and Diana, behind her, Robin, kid flash and Aqualad followed her, relieved to be alive and surprised to see the imposing figure of Bane so vulnerable

Diana nodded and continued

"Harry is purifying Bane, both from poison and ritual, but the spell he is using is a punishment, white magic can be relentless and dangerous," said Wonder Woman, watching as Bane had stopped screaming and less and less poison was expelled from his mouth

The metahuman’s body had returned to normal, the monstrous muscles had disappeared, giving way to a weak and thin man

"I have you" said the sorcerer supreme triumphantly, using his wand to enclose the curse, which had been extracted from Bane's body

"Lord Harry is as impressive as the rumors of Atlantis mention," Kaldur said, looking respectfully at the ruler of New Camelot

And at that moment, a kind of portal appeared in the street, giving way to a familiar woman, an old friend of Diana

Dressed in her crimson battle robe and her characteristic purple hair, wand in hand and stern face, escorted by a regiment of arcane automatons

"Deploy, start with the reparation effort and if there are civilians who require medical attention, inform the bastion," said the witch, walking towards where they were

“Who's she?” Bruce asked, watching with some amusement as the three boys looked at the newcomer totally dumbfounded, overwhelmed by her beauty and elegant bearing

"Nymphadora Tonks, commander of the Red Furies, one of the strongest battle sorceresses I know," Diana said aloud, drawing the attention of the witch in question

"HAHA look at that, Themyscira’s spoiled top bitch, you look good Di" said Tonks with a smile, giving her a big hug, a gesture that Diana returned

And at that moment, the sorcerer supreme walked towards them

"Tonks, we have a trace, and apparently, an ally among our enemies," said Harry, who still held the curse

The witch looked at the sorcerer supreme nodding and said

"I deployed the troops all over the city, the demons were exterminated with a few exceptions, but the criminals disappeared as soon as they saw you, at least the intelligent ones," said Tonks, looking contemptuously at the pathetic and weak body of what was once Bane

"Our automatons are repairing the structural damage to the city and healers will be deployed if required, the magic signature of the city is faint and clearly a distraction, I sent a signal to New Camelot, our magic scanners are focused on America right now" said Tonks as, all around, destroyed buildings were repaired and people trapped in the rubble were rescued

"Metropolis was also attacked, Barry helped people in a burning building in my absence," Superman said, landing calmly, but looking at Harry's ring with obvious suspicion

"I have a report from Hal, criminal activity increased in Cost City, that's why he didn't answer the call," Bruce said, as he checked the computer on his wrist

"This was a distraction, a successful one apparently, however, our enemy did not take into account one important thing, Giovanni's cunning actions" Harry said with amusement

Those words alerted all the heroes present, while filling Zatanna's face with hope

"What do you mean, Lord Harry?" asked Superman respectfully and politely

Harry shrugged his shoulders and said absently

"Just Harry, and I mean that the curse, in effect, gave Bane invulnerability, repairing his body almost as quickly as it was damaged, however, Giovanni is a genius of magic and, cunningly, hides a message within the curse itself, that's why I took the trouble to extract it from this guy's body, instead of just executing the animal on the spot," said the sorcerer supreme

Superman nodded and spoke again

"I know you said that the matter with this device is not our problem, but if the person responsible is able to organize simultaneous attacks in several cities, is someone with influence and dangerous, we can collaborate together," said the Kryptonian while stretching out his hand to Harry

And to the Amazon's happiness, her sorcerer hesitated, looking at the hand with a thoughtful face, before sighing and nodding, taking it in a firm shake

"Maybe you're right," he said resignedly, putting a smile on Superman's face and a look of hope on Diana

Without waiting for an answer, Harry looked at Tonks and ordered

"I charge you with the investigation of the city, that the automatons repair everything and help whoever needs it, this disaster was magical in nature, so we will intervene to mitigate the damage as much as possible, let those five brats help you" ordered Harry, pointing to Robin and the rest of his team

“What? You can't leave us here, we can help!" said Robin looking at Batman, begging with his eyes

However, before the bat could say a word, Harry intervened

"You will, my flames exterminated most of the demons, but I detect remnants in the farthest parts of the city, they will coordinate with Tonks to cleanse the city," the king ordered, causing the beautiful sorceress to snort

"I'll take care of it dear, I guess it's part of my punishment to take care of the children," Tonks said with a sigh, getting offended looks from all the young heroes

"Something like that, as soon as they finish takes them to the bastion," Harry said and without waiting for an answer, he gave a loud applause, enveloping himself and the garter in flames, disappearing on the spot

"Shit, that was really amazing," Wally said

Kaldur nodded solemnly

"The sorcerer supreme is more impressive than my king mentions" the Atlantean was more than impressed

Tonks just rolled her eyes and said

"Well brats, we will separate into two teams, hunt the rest of the demons and clean the city, the faster we finish, the faster I can get back to my man" said the sorceress, taking out her wand and starting to repair buildings with ease

The five young heroes nodded and obeyed, not at all displeased with following the orders of such a beautiful woman

They were in the clean-up work, but they were alive to fight another day

Apparently, Robin owed another burger to the sorcerer supreme

Bruce Wayne, Arcane Bastion, Above Jump City

"This place is impressive," said the bat with total sincerity, standing on the observation deck of the bastion as these "automatons" repaired the city quickly

Something that, Bruce knew, would bring problems sooner or later

After all, the government loathed when its incompetence and inefficiency were exposed

Around the room, the members of the league watched the place with obvious interest, Jo'hn was touching the walls while nodding to himself, Superman was pushing his finger into the metal of the walls, testing its resistance, while Arthur was sitting on a comfortable couch while eating something suspiciously similar to chocolate frogs

"It is, bastions are powerful magical fortresses, but they are a technological marvel too, the last time I spoke to Harry, he wanted to adapt them so that they were able to operate in space, I don't know if he succeeded" said Diana, standing next to Bruce, observing the city calmly

"I did, we have an exploration of Venus planned in a couple of months," Harry said as he stepped onto the observation deck, drawing the attention of the entire league

Bruce walked to the central table, at the same time that Harry Potter raised his hand and, before the eyes of the entire league, an image appeared

A golden, seemingly harmless helmet

Bruce didn't know what it was, but it looked imposing and ancient

"This is the Helm of fate, an ancient relic, older than any known civilization, forged by Nabu, a Lord of Order," Harry said seriously

"Lord of Order?" asked Clark

Harry nodded and spoke again

"Cosmic entities, guardians of reality, represent stability, rules and structure, extremely powerful and extremely arrogant, they are extradimensional beings," Harry said while shaking his head

"Nabu, is the most powerful and prominent of them, who uses this helmet, in search of an avatar to influence our dimension, he is an extremely powerful magical artifact and therefore," at this point, Batman interrupted

"Extremely dangerous, I understand your misgivings to share this information," said the bat sincerely, observing every detail of the helmet

"The artifact was for many years kept in a maximum-security vault in what was once Mesopotamia, for centuries, the I.C.W. has been in charge of reinforcing security and, during all that time, we never had any problems," Harry said with a frown, now showing the images of Giovanni fighting warriors in red robes and having difficulty doing so

"Giovanni Zatara invaded the vault, murdering four of my guards and stealing the helmet," Harry said, as he watched his old friend char four men with barely blink of an eye

"Shit," Jo'hn said, shuddering at the sight of the charred bodies

And Batman quickly intervened

"That can't be true, I met Giovanni, he was a great man and a hero, not this, besides he died a couple of years ago, it's impossible for him to be the same person," Bruce said, surprising the league

But he didn't care, Giovanni was his friend and what he saw was simply impossible

And to Bruce's surprise, Harry Potter nodded

"Those were the same words that my former mentor mentioned, that Giovanni Zatara was a man of integrity and incapable of doing this, so, at her request, I investigated the family, meeting this beautiful young lady in Gotham," Harry said as he pointed at Zatanna, making her blush completely, but her look of satisfaction was more than clear

Like Diana's frown, Bruce thought with resignation

"The curse I extracted from the insignificant being only confirms one thing to me, that Giovanni Zatara is alive and that someone or something forces him to work for him," said the Sorcerer Supreme, making Zatanna smile radiantly, the relief more than evident on his face

“How do we help you?” Bruce asked seriously, if his friend Giovanni needed support, he would do anything

Harry looked at the whole league seriously and said

"Within the curse itself there is a hidden message, an elegant and discreet spell capable of going unnoticed, unless you possess a deep understanding about the nature of magic, the signature was similar to Zatanna's, so..." and now, it was the beautiful sorceress's turn to interrupt the sorcerer supreme

"It must be my father! Dad sent us a message!” she said with emotion and hope in her voice

“Can you decipher the message?” Superman asked curiously

Harry nodded and waved his hands, released the curse from the containment unit, and proceeded to mutter rapidly, literally tearing it apart

For hours, the league watched as the sorcerer supreme methodically tore the curse apart, until Harry reached the last layer

"Bingo," he said, releasing the message and causing a male voice to begin to speak

“Save Sindella, save Sindella”

"That's Giovanni's voice, I'd recognize it wherever I went," Bruce said, looking at Zatanna, who was catatonic, her hand covering her mouth as she shook her head over and over again

"It can't be possible, it can't be," said the sorceress over and over again

It was evident that she was quite upset, so Bruce walked towards her, trying to reassure her

"Concentrate Zatanna, do you recognize that name?" he asks tactfully

The witch looked at the bat and simply said

"It's my mother's name," she whispered, overwhelmed

Those words made the whole room silent, the situation more than clear

Zatanna's mother was alive and a prisoner of some unknown entity, who blackmailed Giovanni to force him to sow chaos

Harry walked over to Zatanna and said

"I'll need a sample of your blood, so I can calibrate the sensors of the bastion and find your parents, we must..." however, Harry's words died when he heard the bastion's alarm

“Alert, alert, alert, Space object detected”

"What the hell is that?" asked Diana

"Trouble," Harry said pointing to the observation window, only to see an object fall into the city, one that looked like...

"Is that a ship?" asked Bruce, looking at Clark

Superman simply nodded and said

"It is, but it's not Kryptonian, if that's what you want to know," Superman said

"That doesn't matter, we have bigger problems," said the sorcerer supreme, showing how a small fleet of ships was approaching Earth

Following the ship in question

"More trouble," Harry snapped, as he began to give orders

"Bastion, switch to war mode, wards to the max and prepare all the automatons for deployment, send a signal to New Camelot, send two bastions as reinforcements," Harry ordered with a frown

Bruce then watched as a light enveloped Harry's body, covering him in black armor with an emerald cloak, which emitted so much power that even Bruce, who had the magical ability of a fucking rock, was able to feel it

"We have work to do, come on," Harry ordered

And the whole league obeyed, apparently, the work on Jump City wasn't done
