The Black Lion, a world-class entrepreneur and inventor, founder and owner of Evans Technologies, recognized worldwide for a large number of scientific feats taken from science fiction

Although his reputation was not the best in Ravencroft, it seems that Evans Technologies and his large social projects had resulted in the great reduction of crime levels in the city

Wanda knew that the institute was operating in the red numbers, and the owners were losing money stupidly quickly

"Wanda," she whispered softly, still overwhelmed that, for the first time in her life, someone seemed totally serious about helping her, not just locking her up like a madwoman with no future

A smart decision on her part, Wanda thought with relief, as she watched Harrison relax again, even if he remained alert

"Every day my security team arrests spies of all kinds, most likely your agent has had the same fate" he said calmly, however, Wanda's father just snorted and said

"I know a mental attack when I see it, you're a telepath, a powerful one, Charles's level or even higher, just like Miss Frost, the times I've asked Raven for information about the mission, she always seems bewildered and...confused” said the master of magnetism, and Wanda could see how the black lion smiled subtly, as if something in her father's words caused her amusement

Harrison opened his mouth to answer, however, before he opened his mouth, the black lion raised his face to the sky, frowning suddenly

"Something is watching us," he say, tension returning to his body as both Wanda and her father watched in amazement as an emerald glow covered the black lion's body, causing an impressive and terrifying armor to appear around him

For an instant, there was absolute silence, Harrison made an indifferent gesture towards Wanda, freeing her from her prison, but still keeping her by his side, floating tens of meters above the bay

Suddenly, Harrison raised both hands, generating a kind of golden bubble that protected the three mutants, just in time to stop the hundreds of red laser shots that emerged from the skies, which seemed to open, revealing a fucking hive of giant robots that Wanda had never seen

They were huge, about thirty feet tall and there were a lot of them, purple in color and swarming towards them

And while Wanda looked at them warily, neither Harrison nor his father seemed particularly concerned

"Do you recognize these pathetic and inferior creations?" asked the black lion, his voice distorted thanks to his helmet, making it deeper and more terrifying

Wanda's father shook his head, at the same time that steel beams from the prison floated to where he was

Wanda watched as the beams were bent and deformed, at the same time that her father began to spin them at high speed, creating giant steel saws, preparing to fight against the horde of unknown robots

“MUTANT THREAT DETECTED, CLEANUP PROTOCOL INITIATED!” shouted a mechanical voice, which emerged from all the robots at the same time 

Wanda swallowed hard at what would happen; however, she returned to reality when she saw Harrison Evans activate a kind of device on his wrist at the same time that he began to give orders

"Activate Bastion protocol, close the Evans Tower and the Black Rock, activate all the established defense plattaform" ordered the black lion who watched as more of these robots appeared in different parts of the city

Wanda's attention shifted from the swarm of robots to an emerald flash on the periphery, the imposing and terrifying Black Rock began to glow, Wanda watched in wonder as the entire structure lit up, at the same time that a kind of energy shield appeared around the tower, seconds later, a swarm of Harrison Evans-owned drones emerged furiously from inside the Tower,  launching with much better coordination and lethality than the obvious and inferior copies that had appeared in the city

Wasting no time, an emerald aura appeared around the body of the black lion, who lunged towards the immense swarm flying at full speed, leaving a trail of terrifying lightning behind him

"Go back down there Wanda, we'll finish our conversation when we've dealt with these pests," his father ordered, as he too began to fly into the fight, at the same time that dozens of steel beams and destroyed cars flew towards his father, the lethality of his intention more than evident

The young mutant nodded and began to descend, as she watched as the black lion fought through the clouds, moving terrifyingly fast, almost as if appearing and disappearing at will, while a storm of constant lightning swept through the skies, illuminating the clouds teeming with the invaders

The swarm was indeed gigantic, occupying almost the entire sky of the city, although Harrison and his father seemed to have no problem dealing with the machines

Although they were numerous, they did not seem to pose a considerable challenge to her future husband and father

The beautiful mutant stood in silence surrounded by the still trapped agents who watched the spectacle with resignation and helplessness, feeling totally insignificant at the sight of her father, the master of magnetism, tearing apart several dozen of the imposing androids

However, even the master of magnetism paled at the slaughter that the Black Lion was unleashing in the skies

Surrounded by an aura of emerald lightning, he flew at an absurd speed, leaving a trail of lions made of lightning in its wake, which, in turn, destroyed an even greater number of the no longer so imposing machines

In a few minutes, the sky was flooded by Evans Technologies' own drones, the Black Rock remained standing and intact, unmoved by the continuous attack, although Wanda watched as several of the robots landed in various parts of the city, no doubt for nefarious purposes

Alas, at the moment there was nothing she could do but watch Harrison and his father clean the skies

They would get to the bottom of this as soon as the attack was over
