Fall Update! Upcoming projects and sneak peeks (Patreon)

 Hello, patrons!

I wanted to pop in with a mini update on things going on behind-the-scenes. Fall is fast approaching, and it’s typically a time when I like to keep myself busy with lots of fun seasonal projects. Let’s jump into it:

Pitching

My current project and top priority outside of my weekly comic quota is putting together a book pitch! I debated between kickstarting a book or going with a traditional publisher. While I think both are great options, I’m leaning slightly toward working with a publisher if possible to keep my workload to a minimum. This has been going very slowly mainly because I’m really really bad at selling myself, so I’ve been taking my time to try and craft something really eye-catching and attractive for potential publishers or agents.

Here are the character slides from my pitch deck:

Streaming

Last week I attempted to stream on Twitch while working, but unfortunately ran into a lot of internet connection issues. I’m testing a few things that might be causing the problem, so you may see some short streams from me while I attempt to troubleshoot things. If you happen to tune in to one of these test streams, I appreciate your patience!

The current goal is to have streams begin regularly in November, but I’ll begin putting together new overlays and such throughout October and will probably stream the making of those things. (Making the stream on stream, if you will)

Shop Talk

I’ll be adding several new things to the shop very soon! Here’s a sneak peek at some of those items:

Bob Ross Splatter shirt

I'm redrawing this panel so it'll look cool on a white shirt. Just...so...many...paint...splatters

Custom Comic Prints

With the recent addition of my new fancy printer (that I was able to purchase thanks to you all!), I’m now able to print things on demand, including comics. So now if there’s a comic that really speaks to you, there’s an option to buy it as a print! This also includes print versions of any extra art or fan art I post to the Foodie Fam tier.

Halloween Shirt

Spooky pupper time! I’m releasing two versions of this design (WIP piece shown above) in the shop on September 1: regular shirts and limited edition glow-in-the-dark shirts. While the glow-in-the-dark version will only be available for a limited time, the regular version will be available in the shop year round!

The scheduled timeline for the glow-in-the-dark shirts is:

Sept 1-15: Pre-orders openSept 16-30: Shirts ordered, produced and shipped to meOct 1-3: Shirts shipped to their forever homesOct 7-31: Shirts arrive at their forever homes

Holiday merch, maybe?

By the end of the year I’d like to roll out a final batch of merch for the holiday shopping season. This is just a vague project that’s on my mind, and I’m not really sure what I’ll be working on, but if you have any recommendations of something you’d like to see in the shop, please let me know!

DnD Dog Comic series

I’m reaching the end of the Dogs with Jobs series as is written, which means new projects are on the horizon! If things go according to plan, I’ll be launching the dnd/fantasy/rpg dog comics in October. Woo!
