Hes an honest lad and sure he'll be upset knowing Alan was trying to paint pictures in Pens mind about how he view Indy but I know things will work out. I think that Alan is a predator activist/supremacist and just wants to make a world where preds aren’t seen as a threat, but twisting it to where they are the only threat and dominant group. Seeing how Indy is kind to preys prob made Alan assume he was “curbed” or corrupted by this society and is “helping” Indy realize he should be the one in charge. Buuut that may be just me over reaching. Indy is good boy if he was really such a bad guy he would’ve done something when Pen was drunk, but instead he was kind and respectful :3
