Imma be real, I watched this like a month or two ago, and while I enjoyed the comedy and story, the one thing i didn't like was the cooking aspect of it. Like, after awhile i just started skipping those scenes cuz i didnt care. It's why I couldn't continue with food wars. I don't/can't obsess over food and think doing so is ridiculous. And yall are right, throughout this show Laios's whole demeanor towards saving his sister literally seems nonexistent. i mean, even with revival magic, you'd think saving your flesh and blood would take priority over finding monsters to make meals out of. overall this show was barely a 7/10 imo, maybe youll rate it higher

While the food part is integral to the anime, the journey, growth, and change of the characters is what kept me intrigued. When I first started this, I dropped it 3 eps in, but I just finished marathoning it a couple weeks ago because people were saying its good, and it didn't disappoint. Characters were great and the story really picks up in the second half of the show. Good pickup

Just to clarify, I enjoyed watching the first 3 episodes. What made me drop the show was how the MC seemed like he didn't really give a damn about his sister, and instead, was more interested in dungeon food lol. BUT I will say, after watching a few more episodes, with characters getting more fleshed out via backstories and learning more about how the dungeon works, I came to appreciate the overall story and characters (including MC). Honestly, Sherm, I think you'll like this show. It gets better and better imo. Just has a slow start 👍

I kinda get what your saying. Normally I wouldn't care for cooking stuff. But imo the world building in this show is super interesting and the food actually looks good. Which is why I don't mind it. And yes, the MC is not normal but I believe that's the point, as you have those with autism or other stuff in real life

See as someone who like grew up watching stuff like Yumeiro Patissiere (cutesy baking anime) I like stuff that aren’t plot oriented all the time lol. I don’t dislike slow paced shows so I enjoy stuff like this so I’m all for this being in rotation and enjoying y’all just enjoying the vibes
