It's a testament to Kubo's writing skills that he's able to make you feel sorry for an absolute monster like Mayuri, that deep down he still has some sort of humanity

BZD

I’ll be honest, I did not see this coming. If there were death flags I completely missed them.

BZD

The episode started with Mayuri’s sword baby exploding, and then it also ended with his test tube baby exploding.

Hitsugaya noooo! If his lifespan is shortened he may never actually grow up into an adult physically.

Alex

Mayuri almost caught feelings in this episode, almost.

zoltar

bro gave a long winded explanation to describe super cancer

Byron Wright

Mayuri being the person he is wanted surpass his predecessor(Urahara) and Hikifune in basically the impossible. Urahara made an artificial body that soul reapers could occupy, Hikifune made artificial souls that could occupy other bodies(Kon). Mayuri set the dial to 100 and skipped both processes and made an entire artificial soul reaper.
