I think the site that u were using made u completely skip over the first scene (where buddies were walking through the forest, one with a sword behind him, and they found the box of astrology stuff). I believe that it mentions that we are now 10 years later after the death of the boy

We watched on Netflix wym? We watched him behind him with the sword at the end of episode 3 and then in this episode when they caught up to that moment

Yeah, I think you guys are watching a weird version. Cause there was a WHOLE ASS SCENE where the blonde swords man explains that that he was supposed to have a duel with a another noble and that the other guy chickened out and bought mercy to fight in the duel for him..... Actually never mind, I think I miss remembered the order of events. I remembered that convo happening before they started fighting.....soft look like it was cut to me here lmao

I mean that was at 07:06 unless you're saying you read different subs somewhere else. They mentioned he was supposed to fight another noble and that they were hired instead, nothing about anyone "chickening out" though. These are the official Netflix subs so idk where you watched or if you're quoting the source content.

Yeah the manga is already completed, it also won an award back in 2021 or 2022 1st place & frieren on 2nd (and they both get adapted by the same studio Madhouse). Author also has another manga getting an anime film next year called Hyakuemu(100M) its a sports manga about track & field, and a new shonen manga on january 2025 called DR MUSCLE BEETLE(it sounds like an action manga idk i have no info)
