Just Another Josh

So yeah, the entire scenario with the emperor and empress is ridiculously dark. He assaulted and impregnated her at 11, went on to do so to multiple other young girls, a daughter from this was exiled, and then the empress assaulted him as an adult. The anime is a bit vague about it, but the manga is far more clear that she forced him to give her another child. Which traumatized him. Just everyone involved did some truly, truly horrific things. Also, you are missing one step from Jinshi’s identity in season 1. In season 1 we had the arc about the potential baby swap with consort Ah Duo, who left the palace that season. In there it was heavily implied that Jinshi is the son of Ah Duo, who had been swapped with the Imperial Brother. The Imperial Brother (who would be the one born through the rape of the previous Emperor) died from the honey poisoning. Everyone believes Jinshi is the emperor’s brother and treats him as such, but season 1 heavily suggests a swap happened and he is Ah Duo’s son. That wouldn’t make him the brother of the current Emperor or even the Empress Dowager’s son. His identity is something else.

Maybe I missed something but why is the emperor afraid of adult women before touching the young girls.

Rick Hound

I think it’s implied to connect to his mother being the controlling type and adult women in his weak mind means to be as ambitious as his mother

Rick Hound

I think she told him the lyrics of some Kendrick Lamar, completely mind broke him

Can you react to Silenced(2011) movie for once a month request? (1/1)

Thanks for fixing! Yeah, the empress dowager raped the emperor. It's one of those gray areas. Like, she shouldn't have done such a horrible thing, but...he was doing horrible things to little girls. She made him put himself in jail.

If you join the divine tier and request yes we can

Ah so a bastard replaced with a noble baby, definitely got it lost in translation, will have to rewatch S1 for sure.
