a little fun fact: at 25:06 they mention "Al-Jabr" by Al-Khwarizmi, "Al-Jabr" is Algebra, Al-Khwarizmi is a Muslim scholar regarded as the father of algebra

Am I stupid or isn‘t Rafal a grown man in this episode. So I thougt he somehow survived back then and I watched other reactions they were all like isn‘t he supposed to be dead.

I think they drew him to look bigger in comparison to the kid, like that's how Rafal seems like to Albert at that time, but I could be completely wrong that's just how I tried reasoning it

My absolute favorite detail about the OP is that every other version ends with Rafal closing his hand around the necklace, which disappears. We see Albert take his spot in this final version, starting with a closed fist that opens to reveal the necklace. Every other OP we see Rafal passing on the necklace to someone else, but it's at the very end that we learn it was Albert who received it. He is the final piece of the puzzle for Rafal's legacy. This version of the OP also has a bunch of brief scenes showing all the past characters who died to get us to this point. All the sacrifices that have led to Albert. That being said, there is something odd going on here with the timeline, isn't there? For Albert to have been tutored by Rafal he would have to be SIGNIFICANTLY older than he is. We've had a 10 and 25-year time skip since we met Rafal, meaning a minimum of 35 years have passed. There is no way that Albert is 36-40 years old.
