We are seated for peak

Just Another Josh

Cinderella Grey is definitely the most consistently hype of the Umamusume shows, especially as the races start getting more intense. It doesn’t take too long for the hype to grow and the races to get more competitive. Also, if you actually want to see the TRUE peak for this franchise you guys should check out the Beginning of a New Era movie. It’s a spinoff movie with INSANE animation, some of the best races, and some crazy good sound design. It’s that movie which sold me on watching the actual shows as it is WAY better than it has any right being. It’s technically a sequel to the Road to the Top movie, but mostly independent and you could watch it separately. It’s just a ridiculously well animated movie with way more intensity than a silly concept like horse girls racing should have. That one movie sold me on the entire franchise.

Alright! Since you've made it to EP2, time to drop some non spoiler facts: 1. Umamusume's characters across the board (majority of them not all) are based off IRL horses reflecting their quirks, likeness and actual race records. So most of the races here, even their placements are canon. 2. The ear accessories reflect their IRL gender. If its on the right, its a stallion (male). And left for mares (female). 3. Kasamatsu, where the anime takes place, is a real place in the Gifu prefecture. Same place where the IRL Oguri Cap made a name for himself. 4. Cinderella Grey takes place prior the events of the main show, Pretty Derby. This is a good starting point (imo) for new fans wanting to get into the franchise.

Glad you’re picking this up! If Pretty Derby is Haikyu!! then this is the Blue Lock of the franchise. I also recommend the movie “Beginning of a New Era.” Just be cautious when uploading Umamusume reactions to YouTube as they’ve lately become easy targets for copyright strikes. 💥💥💥 Also 0:15 “Kidnapped”? I think you’re confusing Pretty Derby’s plot lol but that’s fine bc you did react to it at the same time.

This will not touch YouTube, but thanks for the heads up fam!

That ear accessory note is actually really dope, thanks for the facts fam!

Yes! Glad you guys picked this up! This is just a fun sports anime to watch! I won't classify this series as idol cause after like two episodes they dropped that shit and just concentrated on the racing! That's how they hooked me!😅
