Just Another Josh

A little context on why there’s so much pressure for her to get the nationals, most horses only race a few years max. In Umamusume that’s usually set to two years. So if she runs through the regional races for their championship that basically eats up half her career, when she could have jumped straight to the highest level and spend most of those two years competing at the top. It means one less shot at each of those most legendary trophies. Oguri herself probably wouldn’t care that much, but Joe knows he’d be halving the level of success she might have. That’s why it’s such a difficult decision for him. Not only would it give her more time at that level, but she’d be the first one to EVER enter nationals from their region. She has potential for a genuinely historic career, but it means abandoning the trainer and rival she has in the regionals.

Ok here we go with some non spoiler facts for one of the new character shown, Symboli Rudolf. (Ill discuss Maruzensky when the time is right. Nice drip btw): 1. Symboli Rudolf is the 4th winner of the Japanese Triple Crown in 1984. 2. He was the first triple crown holder to win that said title while remaining undefeated going 7-0 during that time. 3. His IRL nickname is the "Emperor" (as mentioned in the anime). Reason for this is because of how he won the triple crown and also winning the Japan Cup in 1985 continuing the legacy of Katsuragi Ace and Japan's winning streak. 4. Rudolf had a total of 16 races in his career. Having won 13th out of all of them and his lowest placement being 3rd.

I hate when they do that "Go Away Lassie!" trope. For those that are too young its when you convince someone that they are better off without you without even asking their opinion. This goes beyond anime of course but for some reason it pisses me off more in anime.😒 I get what Taylor was saying about trainers feeling that they are holding back their students so to speak from going onto greatness but ain't nothing wrong with going along with the ride and getting better along with the student.😉

There’s an epithet (achievement title) in the mobile game called “Emperor” which is earned when you place 1st in the following races: Satsuki Sho Japanese Derby Kikuka Sho Tenno Sho (Spring) Japan Cup and the Arima Kinen twice All of which are the 7 races won by Symboli Rudolf hence “Emperor” and “7 Crown”

You also need to remain undefeated before winning the triple crown. Basically recreate her irl career 🤣

Oh wow. I hadn’t even noticed. I got it through the Unity Cup career (I lost some team races tho)
