Just casually adding the Fourth Horseman, Pale Rider, into this already ridiculously Grail War. That's fine, we definitely needed another unreasonably powerful servant. You're actually a bit off on Jiao, it's not the Aztec god but instead a Chinese god. A very VERY hard to find information on Chinese god. The biggest hint is actually the weapon it tells Sigma to take, the Godfelling Crossbow, which is notably a Chinese repeating crossbow. That is owned by Qin Shi Huangdi, the first emperor of China and was used to kill a giant sea monster on his journey for immortality. That monster is called "Dajiaoyu" (大鮫魚), which you REALLY only find decent information on if you search for the Mandarin. So the original myth has it as just a sea monster, but in Fate it's reframed as a more general sea god with the same backstory. Presumably it just calls itself Jiao for either simplicity or because it's so faded over time that the origin of its myth is murky, like so many other things in Fate. It's confusing as shit and probably not something they're going to go tons of detail into, but it's kinda fun anyways. Just another example of Fate dragging our crazy niche myths and then somehow twisting it 50 times to fit into their canon.
